Brilliant Directories is very flexible and has been used for a wide range of directory use cases, including some adult-adjacent industries (such as entertainers, performers, agencies, or nightlife). That said, explicit NSFW content, nudity, or illegal material isn’t a great fit for any hosted SaaS platform, including BD.

While we’ve not had to remove sites for this type of content in the past, if the primary focus of your site is explicit adult material, you’ll likely want full hosting-level control to manage content policies, compliance, and risk. In those cases, a self-hosted solution (like WordPress on your own server) can be a better option.

Our goal is always to help guide you toward the right tool for your project — even if that means being honest about fit. If your directory is more about listings, profiles, discovery, or promotion (without explicit content), BD can still work very well.
