Q: This product looks great.

I plan to use it as a networking membership site similar to a chamber of commerce. If I want members to be able to join sub-membership groups from within their primary membership can I do that or do I have to purchase additional membership sites (e.g., Primary Membership - Lawyer Networking; Sub-membership: Women Lawyer Networking where a primary member can belong to both through their master membership)? It would be cool to be able to have the listing and show each sub-group they are a part of so people can better connect and I fear they'd lose this if they had to go to a separate site. Thanks for your help!

A: What a great question and use case for the platform!

In short - YES.

With the "Personal Post Feed" add-on, users could "Follow" the listings/profiles of an organization or group, and then have the posts of those followed users included in their personal feeds.

More on that here (video):

I don't know if it's exactly what you're after, but it can certainly allow users to
"join/follow" other users and access only their posts from their feeds.

Thank you for answering the first part of the question. The other part of my question was can members belong to sub-groups? Or would a sub group need its own AppSumo deal/ directory? (Ex: master membership: lawyer networking, sub-membership of the master membership: women lawyer networking)? I want the sub-memberships of the master membership to have their own events/ activities/ networking and be restricted to just those who have signed up to belong to the sub. This is similar to a chamber of commerce or membership association. Thank you!

Thanks for your question, Kristy.

I have to admit that I'm not 100% clear on how you would achieve something like that on the platform. So I'll just go ahead and say it probably is not setup for something like that.

Sounds like instead, you may want a solution that works more like Facebook Groups - where members create a private group, and then users request to join the group etc.
