I was briefly torn between Butter, and a similar offering here on Appsumo.

After a couple of days of testing and real world use, I am so, so glad I went with Butter. It's an absolute gem, and it's one of those deals that make you feel pretty cool for catching it while it's there. (So grab it while you can!)

Over the past few years we've all learned to deal with video conferencing, and many of us (including me) don't even mind it. But this is the first time, probably ever, that I've looked forward to setting up and running my next meeting. The last couple of real world uses I've had with butter have left all participants grinning (if not in pain from laughing), but have also kept the meeting on track in a way I've never had the will, guts or organisation to.

Set up a room template. (As many as you like, for as many types of meeting you hold)
Add an agenda to it.
Time each section of the agenda so everyone knows what's happening and when.
Give yourself private notes and prompts for each section.
Add flashcards, polls, video, a collaborative whiteboard, shared music from YouTube or soundcloud, screensharing, embeds, faux greenscreen and loads of other stuff.
Go through your meeting without a hitch (I didn't see a single stutter or missed frame once) and on time.
Profit!

Way more fun than Zoom, way more organised, and natively more fully featured.

But that's not all. I haven't had a chance to delve into the community, but IT'S THERE. Real, actual, genuine people meeting up to help each other out with work, learn stuff, provide education, hold accountability sessions (turn up, stick your cam on, and work solidly under the gaze of your new, buttery peers)

The team are friendly AF, the product works flawlessly, you get UNLIMITED length meetings, access to a driven community of entrepreneurs, post meeting recaps and recordings.

It's a no brainer. Grab this, quit Zoom, upgrade your remote work/sales game.

Stuff I'm looking forward to seeing:

- API/webhooks. This is a big one for me. I want to automate as much of my business as I can, and I'd love for Butter to become part of those automations.
- Transcriptions. You already have closed captions (that work really well, by the way, including profanity 🤗) so just let me save them!
- More theme control. Butter looks fun. For some people, possibly too fun. I'd love a toned down option for some clients, or at least a way to reduce the beautifully insane border radius around everything!
- More templates for solopreneurs and their clients. Most templates are team-oriented.

Wants out of the way:

Butter will fit your business. It's better than Zoom in so many ways. It's actually fun to use. If you use it properly, it will help you close more sales and hold better meetings. The limits are outrageously generous (no more Zoom nags after 30 minutes). The company has history and is established. The owners are awesome, and surprisingly for a video conferencing platform, it makes me smile.
