I haven't had time to play with it yet so apologies if this is an obvious case. I want to create a portal for a number of clients. The chart data will be pulled from Sheets: in some cases multiple client data might be in one sheet, in others there might be one sheet per client.
I want clients to be able to login and see the dashboard that shows just their data. Is it possible to create this totally within Chartmat? Is it possible to embed and control charts so that I can have them show the relevant data to clients in an externally hosted portal?

It’s totally possible to keep your client data separate through our Workspaces. Create a new workspace for each set of clients that you have and share them all the Boards available in the workspace.
Of course you can connect the very same spreadsheet to different workspaces in case you have the data needed in the same spreadsheet. You can fully customize what range of the data should be visible to your clients in your Chartmat Board. However, note that all the content of a workspace is accessible to everyone who has been added to that workspace. In case you don't want that you would need to import your data into a new blank spreadsheet and connect it with the corresponding workspace. For this purpose just create a blank spreadsheet and import the range you wish to display through the IMPORTRANGE("INSERT_SHEET_URL","INSERT_RANGE") function in Google Sheets.
Of course it is also possible to embed Chartmat into other sites.

Thanks for the reply, but I'm not looking to use separate workspaces. What I want is the one workspace but to have the data displayed in a chart to be a different subset depending on who is viewing it.
So client A logging in to the portal will see one set of data, client B another etc.
But they won't be logging in to different workspaces, just the data selected will be different. That might be by pulling from different sheets or filtering the one sheet.
I don't know if that's any bit clearer, but essentially I guess I'm asking if it's possible to modify the chart data dynamically via a URL or something similar?
Hi Brian, No that's not currently possible. Right now every users sees the same data. However it's an interesting use case and something which we could explore, perhaps combining it with filters which are our next thing in the roadmap, something like a filter which shows only the data where column X is equal to the logged in user_email. However I can't promise you we will build it, filters are coming for sure, but this one is a bit trickier. It would be great if you post it on next.chartmat.com so we can track how many people want it. This will ultimately influence our roadmap.
