used to be a great product - everybody loved it and used it several times per day, then came zight and destroyed everythiong. All updates are bad, none solve the current bugs of the software and zight is now unusable! Software in my eyes is dead!

This app is so temperamental, when it first left AppSumo it worked fine, but update after update (With no noticeable improvements) It's just so temperamental- It works fine for weeks, then randomly just stops. For example, stops copying the screenshot link to my clipboard, then the only link I can find on the Cloud app website doesn't allow me to edit the screenshot. This went from one of my best buys to my worst buys or AppSumo. I have reached out to support and they never get back to me.

I loved this tool, but for months it is not working properly. I am in contact with the support - several times. It is not fixed, instead I spend plenty of time giving them information about the problem.
And I lost lots of time by videos which got lost due to CloudApp problems.
So sad, the idea is great!

I was really hesitant to get that deal, since I'm a long time SnagIt user. I really like it's flexibility... But when it comes to sharing with a colleague or client... it's really painful...: need to do my screen capture (my computer is getting slower, so sometimes it's long until SnagIt loads), then click on Share and either upload it somewhere and get the link or save it locally and then upload it (ex: Facebook)...

Now, with CloudApp, I just click on the app icon (better, I quickly learned the two keyboard shortcuts I use all the time), do my capture and wait a couple of seconds to have the link and paste it where I need it (Slack, Facebook, etc.).

Simple, quick and easy... And with 4TB of storage, that is incredible... Also use it for quick videos now (use Camtasia Studio for long training, but when I just want to show something to a client I use CloudApp).

Works like a charm. Use it everyday!

I've had multiple times where I want to record a webcam session and the software shows that it's recording but doesn't actually record anything. I've talked to support and they're not helpful at all. I need reliability in recording software whether it's a webcam session or a screen share with clients.

I bought this deal thinking that "custom branding" meant I could have my company's branding instead of CloudApp. However I noticed their brand and cta at the end of the video, as soon as I embedded it on the website.
After a lot of back and forth with the customer support they told me that, at the moment, there was no solution. Either keep the branding or refund. Asked for a refund. Really disappointed.

So so easy for creating tutorials for training my team!

Using for general communications, tutorials, recording fb ads, made my life super easy.

This is an awesome tool!

Firstly, I've used a couple of apps to record my screen for a while now, as well as Chrome extensions, and good old-fashioned cmd+shift+4 screenshots on mac.

CloudApp does all of this and allows you to quickly annotate a screenshot after you take it. It's a time-saver but also saves me from storage stacks of screenshots on my mac that I forget to delete.

Used and loved SnapNDrag Pro for many years and thought it was enough. CloudApp is much better in many ways. When you read about CloudApp, at first you think, "Meh. I have something kind of like that." But you don't realize the creative possibilities until you start using it.

Example: I had to reset a password for a client, but didn't want to send the new one in plain text in an email. So I took a screen grab of the password, then password-protected the link and set it to expire in 24 hours—all within the CloudApp menubar. The client was able to get the password easily from the shortened link and there was less of a security risk in transit.

So good I bought a code as a gift to make a family member see the light.

I bought code and had a problem with camera , so I left a message to your support team 2 days ago. I even got email after that I would be contacted in next 24 hours maximum or faster:

It was 35 hours ago, noone contacted me back yet.
If it is priority support, I am worrying about people without priority :)))...

PROS:
I really like this concept as it will come handy especially when you trying to explain something to Clients, Team members, Tech support and even students etc.

CONS: (these could be improved.)
1. QUALITY & COMPRESSION:
The file size is huge I took a static print screen with Cloud app and the out put file size it gave me is 194kb and the same file when i compressed loosless ended up with 76.4KB. I haven't tried the video or animation yet.
2. STORAGE:
I hope the owner/creator like last time would be generous to give us unlimited storage like last time instead on limited to 4TB.
3. PERFORMANCE:
It does consume a fair bit of memory.
4. SSL & CUSTOM DOMAIN LINKS:
On custom links it doesn't accept all SSL except cloudflare SSL.

I Would have loved to give 5+ tacos can you kindly look into the storage and match it like last time. I am sure you can look at the points I have highlighted and improvise it for the future.

Its great for tutorials and guides - totally glad I got it.

I bought this deal and I find it really useful, but:
- There is no official app (and the one that is not official doesn't work). In a world that is turning completely mobile this would be a big plus.
- The recording quality is really low.

Just started to redeem this but after entering the redemption code I was whisked away to a page that asked me to "complete the purchase of the Appsumo plan" by sign up for a $10/month per user plan. Either this is just poor design or it's sneaky funnel design but either way it is not what was promised in Appsumo's sales page namely "Lifetime Access" as it seems that I need to pay more than the advertised price of $39.

tl;dr Cloudapp's 4gb of cloud storage is a winning feature even though it's UI is more complex than Snagit

I've been a faithful Snagit user for at least 2 years and have definitely loved it. The high-def screenshots and amount of customization are great.

My 2 problems with Snagit are that to send images to someone, I'd often have to upload a file to Skype and then wait for them to download. And their editor used a lot of processing power.

I'm happy to report that CloudApp also records high-def screenshots of my Macbook Pro Retina display. I didn't do a pixel count, but they look just as sharp as Snagit.

The cloud feature is pretty great and automatic, so sharing files is a breeze.

My complaint is that there are so many options of what to do with files that it gets complex. After taking a screenshot should I upload, open in editor, copy the link, skip the link, save the file, auto-upload...?!

The combination is a bit intense with no suggested options. Here's what I've found works for me:
1. Auto-upload screenshots
2. Don't auto-upload GIFs and video (can take a while with low bandwidth)
3. When a file is ready to share, copy the share link to my clipboard.

In my Mac, a cloud icon is seen in the taskbar. The funny thing is, all of my files in CloudApp are seen there. I've since concluded, maybe incorrectly, that if I don't delete those files, they will continue to live there.

Because of that reason, I don't see myself using much of my cloud storage. I honestly think I'm doing this wrong, so suggestions are welcome.

Additionally, CloudApp's editor works well. I miss the stamp feature, but the highlight option is handy. There are too many save options on the right making it confusing.

All in all, CloudApp is worth the $49.

Great tool. Takes screen shots and videos and uploads them to the cloud app with 4tb of storage in this plan.

Cons:
- The draw tool doesnt allow you to use ctrl+z to undo. you have to right click and hit undo. Really annoying. I hope they fix this asap.
- Undo is buggy as for me. i cant undo pen tool or blur? (please fix)
- Can we have 30 fps recording please.

I love this app SO MUCH. I'm using it to send clients update videos, to send tech support questions, just for fun. It's so easy to use, the audio syncs up perfectly with the video and it smooth and clear. Plus the interface is like butter.

Really happy. And for this price I'm super pleased.

This is one of those tools that anyone who does pretty much anything online really must have. And anyone who doesn't realize they must have it probably doesn't understand quite what it does. anyone who does business online will, inevitably, have to share images, documents, videos, etc. CloudApp makes this a breeze. And it isn't just for images and videos it is for pretty much anything. For example, I've been editing and updating a large pdf recently, and I needed to keep sending this big file to my colleague. Email isn't practical as it is over 50 meg, and so I was using wetransfer.com, which is excellent. But with Cloudapp it is so simple. Just right-click on the file and add it to Cloudapp. Then send the download link to my colleague via email and they're good to go. Couldn't be easier. This is one of those tools that you slowly start to use more and more until in the end it becomes your daily driver for so many things. To get a lifetime deal on this is fabulous as it really is a tool you WILL use for life. Keep up the great work at getting these deal Appsumo, and a big thanks to CloudApp for creating such an amazing service.
