A: Hi, and thank you for your question! Yes, there are some videos on the NodeLand YouTube channel. Check this one out ;) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nRqpffLVCkY
There is also a live example in case you want to try it hands-on. https://nodeland.io/maps/f98df618-f767-4c8f-bacc-9a6222f6c4df?onboarding=true
In the future, will I be able to use nodeland AI to do this: >> Copy a 1500-word paragraph, then input it into nodeland to create a corresponding mind map? Currently, when I input the text into nodeland, your AI does not display the content correctly and sufficiently. My 1500 words sometimes only become 300 words, and much important information is not fully shown in the nodes. Even after I send back the 1500 words and request additional information in the nodes, the AI still does not understand and only makes the summaries of the nodes slightly longer within that node's content.
Thank you for your detailed explanation of the feature request. You’re absolutely right — the current map creation panel is designed to accept large amounts of text primarily through file uploads. We hadn’t considered allowing users to manually type or paste large texts directly. It’s a great point, and I completely agree that adding this capability would make the experience much better. We’ll prioritize improving this soon!
Hi, it seems we cannot multiselect nodes, or just select a node, and ask the chat AI to proceed with an action. If I ask "develop 3 sub-nodes for the selected node" it will just start adding nodes attached to the main one.
There is some room for improvement there for better productivity and interactivity, or maybe I am missing something? ?
That’s a very interesting point. Currently, the AI Chat considers the context of the entire document and doesn’t focus solely on selected nodes. To make changes to a specific part, we usually recommend giving explicit instructions like “expand details for node XYZ” or “dive deeper into nodes A, B, and C.”
That said, I completely understand your idea of having the AI operate only within the context of selected nodes. It’s a great suggestion, and I’m adding it to our backlog!
Would it be possible to convert the mind map into a blog, by taking into account its logical structure and content?
Also, would it be possible to define the average length of text per node at creation? And even better: setting the expected density of nodes? (Few nodes with long parsed info VS many sub-notes with shorter more specific content)
A: Thank you for your questions — and sorry for the long delay in getting back to you! • Converting the mind map into a blog: It’s possible to embed a mind map into a blog, but I’m not sure if that fully matches what you’re envisioning. If you meant automatically transforming the map’s structure into a full blog post, that’s not currently supported. • Setting the average length of text per node / node density: At the moment, it’s not possible to define the average text length per node or control the density (few big nodes vs. many small ones) during creation. Currently, NodeLand’s AI focuses on being as detailed and helpful as possible without spending too much time processing.
With openrouter we could access other lodels like perplexity, openAI deepsearch etc, providing insights that could go deeper into topics.
Is it possible to run a new AI search to deepen a node? Or provide a new text/website and the existing mindmap to be updated/completed based on the new input?
Apologies for the (very) delayed reply! • Regarding OpenRouter: Our current implementation allows users to easily switch between different models, but we hadn’t been considering OpenRouter. It sounds like a promising approach, and we’ll definitely take a closer look at it. • Regarding AI iterations on an existing mind map: Yes, this is possible! You can use the AI Chat feature located in the upper-left corner of the screen to iterate and refine your mind map. • Roadmap Update: We’ve recently updated our roadmap — you can check it out here: https://nodeland.io/maps/46d6c32d-f367-424f-a7ec-20451e2f1aeb
Thanks again for your patience and great suggestions!
Q: Any video demo?
Any video demo of what this tool can do?
