codeium is good, but code snippets ai is very useful for me, because we can customize promt. For example, I am not a native English speaker, I can customize the prompt and output explanations in Japanese.

I have a lot of work on my agency and sometimes I do not have time to keep up with all the improvements on CSS, JS. Well, using this tool not only showed me ways to improve my code, it does help me learn at the same time. Just for that functionality it does totally worth it. Definetly 5 tacos! A total MUST if you're learning to code (I really hope this tool existed when I was learning code).

Totally disappointed. Using other free tools like codeium or Bito, they are more efficient than this one, it is always in a loop when it finds an error, refactoring is bad, because it eliminates things that are missing. That said, totally disappointed. He still has a lot of growing to do.

This tool is highly useful and integrates seamlessly with your code in VS Code. It provides insights and helps identify issues. While it doesn’t generate code for you, it does guide you in the right direction. Consider it an assistant. I hope the founder continues to improve and enhance this tool. My token gets reduced even when i am using ChatGpt and not Gpt-4. No Support answer till now. I run codesnippets ai parallel to codeium (which ist free) and cannot see any advantages besides the snippets storage. But in codeium i have chat History. Maybe i refund.

I had autogen write some python for me and had code snippets-ai rewrite the code and make a few changes. Now I have working python code! I'm not that big into coding but with interpreter helping me in my command line and these other AI tools it's actually becoming a lot easier to get issues fixed and to have running code. My favorite tool is not the snippet feature but theCode Snippets AI tool in VS code.

Seriously, I like the UI and everything but having an Appsumo-specific version of the extension is a big no-no.

So you are essentially separating Appsumo customers from non-appsumo ones, and of course, in the long run you'll update one extension but not necessarily the other.

Intuitive and practical tool. I haven't tested all its features yet, but I reward the idea and the effort. Well developed and updating extension.

Code Snippets AI is an excellent tool for beginners who are looking to improve their coding skills. As someone who doesn’t know much about coding, I found this tool to be incredibly helpful. I used this tool to develop an addon for Blender and it worked really well. I would highly recommend Code Snippets AI to anyone who is looking to get started with coding.

The allocation of tokens is generous, the product is evolving fast, the value for money is excellent. Buy or regret it. I wish full success to the team. They are humble and listen to users needs.

We locked in the tier 3 plan which comes with 1 mio GPT-4 tokens (~3K requests)/per month. That should basically be enough for all questions that arise in a small team.

I personally tested it by heart when doing some coding on a WordPress plugin (Gutenberg, i.e. PHP + JavaScript, incl JSX and SQL) and I basically was blown away by the results: I tested various scenarios:
- spot a bug by submitting only the code
- ask why specific errors occurred in the JS console and how to mitigate them
- ask why specific behaviors occurred (i.e. content of a const not available) and how to fix it
- ask for advice to make the code better
- ask for advice on how to change VSCodium so that specific auto-formatting works differently.
We did this repeatedly for various scenarios. In all cases, we finally came out with a working solution with high speed.
Whenever a solution did not work as expected or caused new problems, we just reported it, such as if we'd chat with a remotee - and finally all problems got fixed.
As we tried other solutions (e.g. AskJarvis, renamed to AskCodi), GH Copilot, and Tabnine, we were pleased with the great VSCode integration and the quality of the results.
Unfortunately, it isn't fully clear to us, if Code Snippets AI uses client-submitted code and other input for enhancing their model. As per our legal councellor, the https://codesnippets.ai/terms are unfortunately a bit vague -> room for improvement and transparency.

In any case, the overall experience has been phenomenal, and the results are truly impressive. This is particularly remarkable as, in our tests, the competitors' solutions often fell short in comparison. This software is a real time saver as you can ask what you want instead of finding solutions via traditional web search.

Furthermore, the founder Stefan supported us in the very beginning when there was a hiccup with a non-GMail e-mail address (and actually the AppSumo support, too): Though he must have been extremely busy, he had a fix available the other day and communicated with us with full dedication.

My experience with CodeSnippets has been satisfactory in terms of its functionality as an AI-powered programming assistant. The ability to explore and generate code directly within Visual Studio Code is excellent, and the code debugging process from the same interface is highly effective.

However, I have encountered some integration issues while using the extension. Clicking to insert code sometimes results in the loss of variables, especially when it involves this type of `${var}`, which has caused difficulties in some of my projects. Fortunately, this situation can be avoided by simply copying and pasting the code, though it remains an inconvenience that I would like to see resolved.

A significant drawback is that, of the three currently available language models, Google's PaLM does not function correctly. This limits the options when programming in those specific languages.

Regarding its utility as a tool for organizing and sharing code snippets, CodeSnippets leaves much to be desired. The interface is quite deficient and does not allow for the organization of snippet libraries. If you have many snippets, finding a specific one becomes extremely challenging. Furthermore, they cannot be edited directly from Visual Studio Code, implying the need to open the web page or create a new snippet in Code and then delete the previous one from the web page. I have not had the opportunity to test the feature of collaborating and sharing with multiple team members, so I cannot comment on its performance.

In summary, as a tool for generating and optimizing code, CodeSnippets is quite good. However, as a tool for organizing code snippets, it still has significant shortcomings. Although it is a good extension for coding with the added advantage of having snippets, if your primary goal is to efficiently organize and share your snippets, you may want to consider other options.

I am a software engineer and I have been using GitHub Copilot for a few months, thanks to my client who bought me a license. I saw this deal on AppSumo and I decided to try Code Snippets AI out of curiosity. To my surprise, I found that it provides much more accurate and relevant suggestions than Copilot, and I switched to using it full-time. I am now on the tier 2 plan and I am very satisfied with the results. The only minor issue is that sometimes the response are too long and there is no way to cancel it. I would appreciate it if you could add a stop button and increase the limit to 500K on tier 2. I also think that the snippet saving and usage features could be improved. Overall, I highly recommend Code Snippets AI to anyone who needs a smart and reliable coding assistant.

I just started using Code Snippets AI in Visual Studio and love its simplicity yet power.

The result provided is better than Copilot, and also accurate when debugging errors, just like GPT4.

My only complain:

1. The Code Snippets AI chat doesn't have a history of previous conversation. Would be great if we can access the history, and across multiple device too.

2. The field for text / question is too small; only a single line. And after providing a multi line input, the output in the conversation field appears as a single line. Luckily it still understand the question correctly.

3. No other comments apart from this.

Looking forward for more improvement in the near future.

I’ve recently begun using the Code Snippets plugin with VS Code, and I must say, it’s a seamless integration. Prior to using this plugin, I was copying and pasting my code via chatGPT, which was quite tedious. Now, that’s no longer necessary.

With Code Snippets, I’m saving a tremendous amount of time on coding. In addition to efficiency, the quality of the code I’m creating has also significantly improved.

I’m really satisfied with this plugin and I highly recommend it to any developers looking to optimize their coding process. A big thank you to the creators of this product!

Looking forward to the IntelliJ plugin, I don't see eclipse on the roadmap, I would suggest adding that at some point in the future to pick up another part of the market for this tool.

And it works great! Obviously, the GPT-4 does all the heavy lifting, but the addon for VSCode is well structured and really does what it promises. Also, a lifetime deal with access to GPT-4 - which, unless we're talking API, comes at $20/mo at chat.openai.com - it's a bargain! Really happy with my purchase from Plus Day.
