2 simple questions = 1845 token, this makes 189 simple! chat questions in tier-2

That tool is a bad joke. I asked
1. How can I create my knowledge base (1,024 tokens and it did not know that I wanted to ask vor Codemate)
2. How can I create my knowledge base in CodeMate? (821 tokens)

Really? I don't even want to imagine how many tokens are used for a code check or something similar. I couldn't try it out either: Because the answer didn't work at all.

"Once logged in, navigate to the area where you can manage your knowledge base. This is typically found in a dashboard or settings section, where there might be options like “Manage Knowledge Base” or “Create Knowledge Base.”
In the complete (web) dashboard I don't find this, it does not exist.

The only function, that exists is Chat. I will refund and I'm really very upset, my quarterly discount code is wasted, I don't get it back

1. THERE IS NO KNOWLEDGEBASE!
2. And don't treat my review as if I'm too stupid to use your software.
3. Read, what I had written. I had exactly described the simple question I have asked (without any extra operation). Your tool consumes more tokens for a simple question than free software.
4. I will not waste my time with this crap again, I had refunded last month.

Hi there

Apologies for the inconvenience caused.

1. Firstly, we dont play any role in token consumption. Its dependent on what context you pass along with your query, and what output is delivered by the model and any extra operation like web search is added or not. You can add your own API keys and would see the same number of tokens being consumed (or even more) since everywhere similar tokenisers are used to calculate the number of tokens consumed.

2. You need to add the folders in your knowledge base for CodeMate to answer questions keeping entire codebase into context. Here is a quick demo video how you can do the same.

I would suggest you to kindy go through the product once again and if you still have any queries, pls reach out to us at contact@codemate.ai. We'll be there to help you out to ensure you have the best experience while using CodeMate.
