Is it possible to populate and/or transform data on Google/Excel sheets?

A: "Analyzing data" includes how to transform connected data, but all activities happen in Columns, so it won't change the source data connected from Google/Excel sheets.
I didn't see an option for Combo chart listed in your documentation. I.e. a bar with line chart, which shows for example, monthly spend vs people - over a date series.
It's a pretty common chart to have. Please clarify if have or if you can implement.
