Q: While I definitely appreciate Concord offering a lifetime deal, I think that there shouldn’t be any limit on ...
Data Sources, if I understand correctly as to what they are.
From my experience using iubenda and other tools, we don’t wanna be stuck and shouldn’t have to just because we don’t have enough or specific data sources to be able to be fully compliant with various regulations.
My website that doesn’t have too many data sources to deal with, I am close to 80 sources/apps included in my iubenda privacy policy.
Can you please help clarify and the reasoning behind limiting data sources?
If my understanding is correct, I strongly suggest you please remove the Data Sources limits with each code and include the entire library regardless of number of codes similar to your plans on your website.
Thank you for your consideration.
Best,
Anil

Jul 13, 2024A: Hi Anil,
Data systems in Concord are different than typical consent items/trackers (tracking cookies, scripts, and iframes). There are no limits when it comes to capturing, categorizing, and handling trackers on the consent side of the product and, yes, many companies will have a multitude of tracking cookies, scripts, and iframes that will need to be categorized and accurately handled to adhere to regulations like GDPR.
Data systems serve a different purpose and are used for documenting the key systems at your organization that house data. They are used to provide full compliance documentation and for handling of privacy requests that you may receive from users (so you know how to handle those requests). Most competitive cookie consent tools do not include that functionality and you usually only find it in higher end enterprise tools like OneTrust. We include it to provide a more complete data privacy solution for organizations that will grow with you over time.

Ok thanks. So I need to have a closer look at what Data Systems really are and how the limits would work… maybe I will grab a code and try things out… also, I might reach out for a demo meeting if you offer one.
Thanks Anil. We are happy to do a demo meeting if you would like.

Hi Dash, I grabbed a code, just went through quick setup. Not complete setup yet.. it does look like what I was saying about Data Systems is correct. Concord's "Data Systems" are basically any and all the services a website is using. Things like PayPal, Google, any email service providers, tracking codes, Facebook etc. So, 10 or even 100 "Data Systems" will not be enough.. can discuss on a demo
