Hey AppSumo community 👋
We’ve just released something we’ve been working on for Costloop: the new Costloop Browser Extension 🎉
One of the biggest challenges with managing subscriptions is simple: you can’t manage what you’ve forgotten about.
So we built the extension to help Costloop find subscriptions faster and give you another way to spot tools you may be paying for but no longer using.
📩 Scan your inbox for subscriptions
Connect Gmail or Outlook and let Costloop scan your selected period for recurring billing emails.
The extension detects potential subscriptions and shows them to you for review before anything is imported into Costloop.
You stay in control — review the results, correct anything if needed, select what you want, and import it directly into your Costloop workspace.
🔎 NEW: See which subscriptions you actually use
The extension also includes Costloop Scan, our new Usage Monitor.
It compares the websites of your Costloop subscriptions against your recent browser activity and helps categorize them as:
• 🟢 Active
• 🟠 Needs review
• 🔴 Potentially unused / no visits found
For subscriptions that haven't been visited in a while, Costloop can also help you understand the potential cost since your last browser visit.
That means instead of only asking:
“What am I paying for?”
You can start asking:
“What am I paying for that I’m not actually using?”
🔐 Privacy first
We designed both scans with privacy in mind.
For email scanning, raw email bodies are processed inside the extension and are not stored or sent to Costloop. Only subscription details you approve are imported.
For Usage Monitor, browser-history analysis happens locally in your browser. Costloop does not upload your unrelated URLs, page titles, passwords, payment information, or raw browsing history.
The extension is currently in Beta, and we’d love for our AppSumo users to be among the first to try it.
Give it a spin and let us know what you think — especially what you’d like us to improve or add next. Your feedback will directly help us shape where we take the extension from here. 💙
