Helping Me Clear the Clutter
I have hundreds of business cards accumulated over the years, and finally I feel this is a place where I can put them all.
I've scanned in about 20 so far and relatively happy with the app. The one BIG AREA of improvement would be speed, primarily when adding a lot of cards at the same time. If I go to an event and get 2-4 cards, then the current process works. However, if I have 10 or more cards, then it feels really slow.
Here's my recommendations or wishes:
• Take pictures of all cards at once, organize them later. This would make bulk process a lot easier.
• Auto add a tag to all cards I'm adding in bulk in this session.
• A desktop app to manage and organize.
• Connection to a Contacts app or a CRM app so I can make this info useful
• Other ways of viewing and managing my contacts in addition to an alphabetical list and 'search', something that adds more meaning to the data than what I already see /know e.g. trends, visual charts.
All in all, it's a great investment at $9. I wish the deal for the full Covve app would come back and this would integrate with it.
I'm looking forward to the continued development of this app into something that becomes meaningful rather than something that goes into oblivion 5 years down the line in 2025. What's the strategy to make this sustainable?

May 9, 2024Hey Anubhav,
Really glad you like and thanks so much for taking the time to provide the review and the feedback - certainly helpful.
Let me start with an overarching point: Covve Scan was launched only a few months ago and has a long and exciting journey ahead of it. We're constantly adding to it and improving it based on what people are asking for (so thanks for all the suggestions, all of them definitely sensible).
Let me take each of them at a time to give some info on each:
- Bulk scanning: absolutely on the list. Admittedly, most people don't ask for this as the single scan works really fast... but for those with huge piles of cards this is a must-have! Auto-tagging when doing so makes tons of sense too!
- Desktop app: I can definitely see that a desktop companion app would be useful. I'll be open that this hardly ever gets requested in this mobile-first world we live in so its not currently on the priority list
- Connection to contacts app: Just clarifying for other reading this: You can save any card you scan to your phone's contacts by tapping on the blue icon at the bottom right of each card
- CRM integration: This is one of our top priorities right now as we get tons of requests for it!
- Trends and charts! Great suggestion :)
All the best,
Alex
