I don't do demos. But I do screen sharing all the time. My former screen sharing tool was getting a bit wonky, so I signed up for CrankWheel during this AppSumo promo.

The first time I tried it, I had a bit of trouble connecting. But then I remembered that they had sent a message letting everyone know that there was going to be a maintenance period. So I gave them some grace with the expectation that it would work the next day.

In the meantime I kept testing (I can't help myself) and connected with a team member. The FIRST thing he noticed was the CrankWheel landing page upon exit. He said it was weird and he didn't like it. Keep in mind that the team member had NOT read the reviews on AppSumo about the same issue.

So, because I had read the workaround here, I knew what to do. I emailed support and gave them the landing page I wanted to use.

In less than 24 hours I got an email saying the landing page was working, so I did a few tests.

So far it's working great.

Although it's working great for me, I recommend that CrankShaft stop using this landing page for ALL of their paying clients. The customer experience just isn't that good with that landing page. You are targeting businesses with low tech customers. Low tech customers will be confused by this page at the end. I understand you want to expand your business, but this isn't the way to do it. You're beyond that now that you've struck a deal with the AppSumo team. You can let go of the past and move into the future. The promotion you'll get from happy Appsumos will far surpass the paltry business you might have gotten with that landing page.

As far as the limits, for my business, 300 meetings a month should be plenty. But who knows? If this AppSumo deal propels my business to where I need more, perhaps I'll upgrade in the future.
