Q: Hi Michel, Please kindly explain why when I install the Windows desktop app a warning displays the following message?

Microsoft Defender SmartScreen has prevented an unrecognized application from launching. Running this application may expose your computer to risks.

Man, this happens with soooo many "small" apps from "unknown" developers.
Hi,
typedesk has all the appropriate certifications but Windows smart screen does pretty much what it wants, so you may see this warning in some cases.
Our code is fully signed, so you can go ahead without any worry as soon as you've downloaded the installer from our website.
