Q: Hi there, I have tried to record a video with Snagit screen recorder.
It was a 8 minutes video but after 3 minutes of the video the voice get delayed a lot and that is not make any sense to me why. After this I tried another recording software but still same issue after a few minutes.
Mostly it happened when web browser reloads or switch to a different tab or apps.
I am using Macbook pro with m1 chip, Boya PM-700, and default settings of crystalsounds with MVO mode enabled.
Please advice me how to get this issue resolved.
Thanks in advance

May 14, 2024A: Hi Sam,
We are grateful for your feedback and bug report on our app. We apologize for the trouble you experienced with the audio delay and glitches. This issue could be caused by one of these factors:
+ Your PC does not meet our minimum requirements. You can find them on our https://crystalsound.ai/guide.
+ Another software is conflicting with our real-time audio processing. This could be an antivirus, a video renderer, or any other app that uses a lot of CPU power. Our software was updated last week and some antivirus programs might scan it repeatedly, which can slow down the audio.
+ A bug in our processing pipeline that we have not detected yet.
Our app needs to process audio in milliseconds, but if another app takes up all the CPU resources, the audio buffer will pile up and cause a delay. We have a synchronization algorithm that prevents this in most cases, but if the CPU is overloaded, the audio will lag anyway.
We can assure you that your Mac M1 should run CrystalSound smoothly, even with Snagit and Teams/Zoom running simultaneously. We are trying to reproduce this issue on Mac M1 and Snagit, but we have not encountered any delay on our side. Could you please check your activity monitor when you do screen recording and see if there is an app that consumes most of the CPU resources? This will help us pinpoint the problem and fix it as soon as possible.
We appreciate your patience. We hope to hear from you soon and solve this issue for you.
Best regards,
Anh
In my check, I found that the crystalsounds is the most CPU consume app in my machine now. It consumes between 40% to 70% CPU. and now I am pretty sure that there are no other app conflicting but the worst quality sounds and delay happening by the crystalsounds app itself.
Please advice how to get rid of this issue as its really important now.
Thanks,
Sam
Dear Sam,
Thank you for your video and information. They have helped us to investigate the issue more thoroughly. While we use 40% of one CPU core, we have found that the problem is not caused by high CPU consumption, as our app uses slightly less CPU than similar apps. However, it might be related to CPU scheduling, where, in some cases, our processing threads are not assigned to the performance CPU cores on Mac M1.
We are working hard to fix this issue and improve the performance of our app. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
BRs,
Anh
