SOOOOOO glad I switched!
I was NOT in the market for a new project management system, but this popped up in a group I'm in, and I was curious (always am! š¤£), and I checked it out. Something told me I wanted to try it. I am so glad I listened to my gut.
I've had an LTD for nearly two years of another PMS that is still available here, I think. When I was deciding, they made a lot of promises: project templates, forms to tasks, API, and more. Well, the templates are still "coming," and the forms...they made it an extra charge (even for those who full-stacked), and their API...well, it's been out a few months and is buggy AF. AND they got really snippy when I told them that they were holding up my promotions with something that had been promised forever ago.
I guess this was just the right time.
But on to Cubicl.
I am already in love. It's FAR more intuitive than the other. Some of the really cool features:
šÆ APIāmy developer looked this over and was able to do what he wanted in a test in about 15 minutes.
šÆ ChatsāOne-on-one and group chats in any configuration. Also, searchable!
WorkflowsāThis is a VERY cool function. Like pipelines, or whatever, once a part of a task is done and checked, the next step is assigned automatically, and the person is notified. Two small things I'd like from these: 1. The ability to assign to service emails that require multiple steps from multiple people. 2. The ability to add relative due dates to the workflow, so whenever it is triggered, each step is assigned the time frame based on the start date.
šÆ Emails into the system ā> TasksāI really like this. It's a cool feature how they have set it up, and the team can discuss AND send replies from the same space. This CRM feature is very f*cking cool.
šÆ EVERY project gets a dedicated chat in the chat box, which I like MUCH better than having a discussion that you have to go to in each project. It feels like less clicking.
šÆ There is a "follow" function in addition to "assign," which I really like.
šÆ The reminders setting is awesome.
šÆ I love the "steps" and subtasks options.
šÆ And subtasks are relative to the project dates when copying a project. Which is pretty awesome. [Redacted] DOES NOT work that way, although they promised it was coming in a month or so when I originally bought.
šÆ The tags work more effectively and are per project, rather than universal, which makes them far more useful for me.
šÆ My team ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø's this (and are more efficient)!
DRAWBACKS (no deal-breakers for me):
š£ No docs/collaboration in-app. Not a deal-breaker for me.
š£ No formatting that I can find.
š£ No read receipts in comments and chats.
š£ No read receipts in emails.
I feel like Cubicl is a winner for me, and their support has been š„š„š„ so far!
