What are past projects, failures, or successes youāve had in your career?
The co-founders have a broad range of experience in both failing and successful work environments. We've struggled trying to enforce the use of clunky, traditional project management tools with teams that couldn't be bothered to update their tasks and tickets every day. We've seen what happens when roadblocks go unnoticed for far too long, or when projects quietly slip into a realm where deadlines become impossible to meet. Worse than those, we've also dealt with situations where the wrong people were assigned to specific tasks or responsibilites, leading to botched deliverables and unmotivated teammates. We've thought deeply about these experiences and what could be done better, and brought those insights into Dart.

Whatās the origin of the idea for your product?
The co-founders each dealt with coordinating teams on some of the largest yet also most frustrating project management tools out there, and knew that there could be a better way. With advances in AI and LLMs around the corner, we knew that we could be prepared to deliver a better experience than what we'd all gotten used to before. We first started serving other startups and small companies, and learning from them about what features we needed to improve or build next, and kept growing from there to working with a broader range of teams and individuals.
What problem is your product solving and how?
Dart aims to eliminate project management overhead with our AI-native platform. Instead of spending hours on status updates, task tracking, and manual planning, teams can chat directly with their projects to get work done. Dart AI can handle everything from breaking down complex projects into actionable tasks to generating progress reports, allowing teams to focus on execution rather than administration.
Whatās the #1 thing youāre looking to gain from the AppSumo campaign?
We want product feedback and examples of use cases that we can do more to serve better. Any word-of-mouth to continue growing our platform is an added bonus.
What are your plans with the customers, cash, and learnings from the AppSumo campaign?
The next plan is to incorporate all the user feedback we'll get into making the best project management tool possible. We're here for the long run, but we want to implement changes fast. No product is perfect which is why the insights and even criticisms we get from Sumo-lings will make us better. Any cash will be reinvested in the product or hiring so we can keep building what we need to.
