This is Ankush from DeepWord. I just wanted to let you know that we unfortunately will be shutting down DeepWord and all of its servers at the end of this month on September 30th, 2022 at 12:00 PM EST.
We’ve had an incredible journey over the past 2 years: Growing to 60,000+ users that went on to generate over 150,000 minutes of video is no small feat. However, we’ve come to a stage where we can no longer continue with this project due to global market conditions (ie. recession, high-interest rates, inflated server costs, funding constraints). Synthetic media is an exciting new industry with tons of potential but also immense growing pains. We tried everything we could to keep DeepWord afloat, from switching cloud providers, to building our own servers, to even partnering with new emerging cloud startups. However, our attempts to manage these issues were inconsistent even with decent early-stage funding.
It deeply saddens me that this is the way things turned out to be. With that being said, I’d like to personally thank all of you for entering into this journey with us. Although we never reached our mass-adoption goal of video personalization at scale, we’ve learned immensely from all of you, in ways that much of our team cannot articulate. Again, thank you all for your support and love. We wouldn’t have made it even this far without you all. Our dream is still very much alive, so perhaps we can reopen DeepWord with higher video resolution, better video actors, and more integrations when the conditions for synthetic video production are more favorable.
To reiterate & clarify, we will be shutting down DeepWord and all of its servers at the end of this month on September 30th, 2022 at 12:00 PM EST. If you have any videos you generated that you’d like to save, please log into the website and download them to your local files before this date. All active monthly subscriptions to DeepWord will be canceled on this date as well. No one will be charged anything after this date. Your personal data/info will also be completely wiped on this date.

Limit reached after 2-3 minutes usage and not renewed
I want to support your work and not ask for refund but there has not been any response when I send to support email about my usage limit being 0:00 after only 2-3 minutes of usage. And it's a new month, but still the 0:00 is not restored to 120mins. I hope you guys have explanation, or at least respond to the email - so that we are informed of what is going on and not keep being uninformed.

Hello Truefriend,
I apologize for the issue you have faced with this. We have since fixed the issue 100% and I believe someone from our team manually corrected this error in your account last week. Everything seems to be working fine on our end currently. Please reach out if you face any more issues. Again, sorry about this issue! I know how frustrating and angering it must have been.
Looks good at the start but not great in execution
I really wanted to like this product but there aren't many actors and some don't look that good. The selection of voices I also found not to be great, there was only 3 voices and only one was OK. Unfortunately the video also turned out poorly. The first part of it was OK with the motion of the lips, but the man kept nodding at the end of each sentence. Near the end, it seemed the man reached for his ear or to pull on something near his head but the issue was the hand went behind the scenery!!
Unfortunately I'm going to refund it as I can't use this and the need is urgent. Good luck Ankash with your project in the future I wish you well with this.
I grabbed the top plan as this is brilliant and i cant wait to see what else they are going to add to this. i created my first video and the easy steps to make a video are brilliant
Select spokes person select back ground (even your own] Enter text to speech or upload audio press render and create next video while waiting for your first one.
I am updating my review, since my original purchase and review of DeepWord I have been checking for updates and progress pretty much weekly. And I notice that progress is somewhat not as fast as I would like it to be, but it is also true that this is a very complex project to develop and execute. The journey ahead looks promising, and what I have really been surprised with is Ankush persistence in doing his best to make this a superb product in its category-niche. So I am up-voting and upgrading my review based on a number of factors, primarily my conviction that this is a product that will be a top contender in AI along with Synthesia in just a few months. The best way to ensure that I get the best product then, is to support their efforts and roadmap, so I am happy to give 5 tacos to Ankush and his team at DeepWord. Keep up the good work guys, work on all of the different aspects, features and functionalities that we sumolings have been "complaining" about and you´ll have an amazing product in no time.
Bought It for the Roadmap/Future, Not the Current State of the Product
As you can see, I've purchased a lot of tools from AS over the years. The first thing I look for when evaluating a product is the UI and UX. Paying attention to detail and creating a user experience that makes interacting with the product enjoyable and intuitive is hugely important and provides a glimpse into the team's priorities. DeepWord has hit the mark in this aspect! The app has a well-designed, easy-to-use UI. It's easy to create a video and customize the individual settings.
What is somewhat lacking, as others have pointed out, is the actual AI deepfake creation functionality. I'm not going to go into details, but as of today, videos created now with the actors currently available simply aren't ready for prime time.
However, after buying (and sometimes refunding) hundreds of SaaS, my intuition tells me DeepWord is going to be a winner. Maybe not tomorrow, maybe not next month, but if they keep working on their roadmap and updating and enhancing the primary functionality, it will be one day. And I'm looking forward to having a full stack when that day arrives!
Giving 4 stars because while not just there yet, the future looks bright!
It's a great concept but it's a long way from being useful to me
I tried a dummy scripts with 2 different actors as I figured out how the software works.
I was impressed by the AI text to Voice as it has inflection and pauses and it sounds "almost" natural.
I was NOT impressed with the video though.
The first try had a very creepy feel to it as the lips didn't sync well and the actor was so stiff. The weird blinking seemed unnatural too.
The second try was even worse. The lips moved like an animal eating grass.
I'm not sure if you can watch but here's the link to the 2nd try https://login.deepword.co/video/b47y6a6qcfl4yh8c98
I also found the clothing to be inappropriate, mainly because it was ill-fitting and didn't align with what I expected.
Finally, if the actors could start off with a smile, it would make a big difference.
I'd suggest that the developer invest in more actors, and have the clothing category be something like "office" with classic, well-fitting office attire (suits), "smart casual" with work-appropriate or Sunday-best clothes, "casual" with on-trend clothes, "formal" for parties and perhaps only a few actors have the "medical" attire.
I also suggest that they permit body movement so that it is more natural.
Finally, for the actors, it's good to see a range of ethnicities and different body shapes/sizes. I'd like to see this expand though, along with more age range.
I also didn't find any female actors that I would believe to be CEOs or Executives.
But, more than anything, they need to work on making the face react more naturally.

Hey there Sumo-ling,
Thanks so much for your honest feedback and review.
Regarding the second video you tried with poor lip sync, this issue is fairly uncommon and is a result of specific combinations of certain video actors with certain voices. We have already removed/fixed several of these combinations and are working to seek out and remove the rest ASAP! If you could submit a support ticket via the website, we can also credit your account for any time lost from these poor results!
Regarding the actors, yes, we agree there is much room for improvement. That is why we are currently filming another 6 or so video actors that will be conventionally attractive, in very well put together professional clothing, smiling, and with more realistic body movements. These should be released within 3-4 weeks. We will let all users know when they are live.
Thanks again so much for your feedback! If you ever run into any other questions or issues, feel free send a support ticket via the website or to contact@deepword.co. We are working to make DeepWord everything everyone needs it to be!
I tested out Deepword just now (21 June 2022). Uploaded my own video and used one of the voice samples available (Bong Joon Ho) from the library.
Video shot 4k and exported as 1080p Original version: https://login.deepword.co/video/b47y6a5upzl4n8hyzp?old=true Beta version: https://login.deepword.co/video/b47y6a5upzl4n8hyzp
Video shot 4k and exported as 720p Original version: https://login.deepword.co/video/b47y6a5upzl4na9m5u?old=true Beta version: https://login.deepword.co/video/b47y6a5upzl4na9m5u
Video shot 4k and exported as 480p Original version: https://login.deepword.co/video/b47y6a5upzl4na8wbr?old=true Beta version: https://login.deepword.co/video/b47y6a5upzl4na8wbr
I like the idea of being able to scale video production but the output quality still needs to be worked on and has a long way to go.
- the box around the head is still visible in "beta" output even at 480p (I read somewhere that they have previously stated that this issue has been fixed, but as you can see, it has not been fixed as at the time of testing) - the video quality in the box area is very low (blurry and almost pixellated) and does not blend in with the rest of the video
The quality of the video actors available from the library is not an issue for me as I can shoot my own video and edit to my liking.
But the product is pretty much unusable if they are unable to resolve those two issues identified above. The output should be clear and crisp at 1080p with no blurry area and definitely no box around the head. I don't know if they have the technology and server-side resources to be able to deliver a product that can achieve this requirement.
I will check again before the refund window expires and if no significant improvement I may have to get a refund (I am really hoping that they will be able to improve).

Hey there Sumo-ling,
Thanks for much for your honest feedback. I appreciate that you took the time to fully test the tool and provide links to results here!
Regarding the box around the head issue being fixed, we have fixed this for our actors currently, but not completely for custom uploaded video actors. The box has been made a bit less obvious for custom actors, but we are still working to remove it completely. We are working as quickly as we can and are testing a few solutions right now that we think could work. Also, we are currently training models right now to effectively double the resolution of the current beta model. I'm not sure if this even higher resolution model will be ready before our deal on AppSumo ends, but it is relatively realistic for the box issue to be fixed by then (~3 weeks until our deal ends, so I cannot guarantee this yet). However, one work around for the slight box around the head is to export the video to editing software and to use a chroma keyer to remove the background. Something like this would work too - https://www.remove.bg/b/remove-video-backgrounds-100-automatically-with-unscreen. But I agree, we need a native fix for this in DeepWord and will be adding this ASAP!
Again, thanks for your honest review and feedback. We are working round the clock to make DeepWord everything everyone needs it to be. Feel free to reach out any time!

Terrible scam, never really worked well, was abandoned less than a year later.
Appsumo refused to make it right, this makes 4 products in the past 2 years that have been a total waste without any recourse.

Shutting Down?
Hello Everyone,
This is Ankush from DeepWord.

May 9, 2024Hello Truefriend,
I apologize for the issue you have faced with this. We have since fixed the issue 100% and I believe someone from our team manually corrected this error in your account last week. Everything seems to be working fine on our end currently. Please reach out if you face any more issues. Again, sorry about this issue! I know how frustrating and angering it must have been.
Best,
Ankush

Wow this is a must deal
I grabbed the top plan as this is brilliant and i cant wait to see what else they are going to add to this.
i created my first video and the easy steps to make a video are brilliant
Select spokes person
select back ground (even your own]
Enter text to speech or upload audio
press render and create next video while waiting for your first one.
Then download it and add it to your project
This is a must deal so do not miss out :

Updated Review

May 9, 2024Hey there Sumo-ling,
Thanks so much for your honest feedback and review.
Best,
Ankush

Needs to improve... a lot.
I tested out Deepword just now (21 June 2022). Uploaded my own video and used one of the voice samples available (Bong Joon Ho) from the library.
Video shot 4k and exported as 1080p
Original version: https://login.deepword.co/video/b47y6a5upzl4n8hyzp?old=true
Beta version: https://login.deepword.co/video/b47y6a5upzl4n8hyzp
Video shot 4k and exported as 720p
Original version: https://login.deepword.co/video/b47y6a5upzl4na9m5u?old=true
Beta version: https://login.deepword.co/video/b47y6a5upzl4na9m5u
Video shot 4k and exported as 480p
Original version: https://login.deepword.co/video/b47y6a5upzl4na8wbr?old=true
Beta version: https://login.deepword.co/video/b47y6a5upzl4na8wbr
I like the idea of being able to scale video production but the output quality still needs to be worked on and has a long way to go.
- the box around the head is still visible in "beta" output even at 480p (I read somewhere that they have previously stated that this issue has been fixed, but as you can see, it has not been fixed as at the time of testing)
- the video quality in the box area is very low (blurry and almost pixellated) and does not blend in with the rest of the video

May 9, 2024Hey there Sumo-ling,
Thanks for much for your honest feedback.
Best,
Ankush
