I built the file manager Gmail forgot to ship.

Every important file I owned lived inside Gmail: invoices, contracts, receipts, family photos. Finding one meant remembering who sent it and roughly when, and every tax season ended with me downloading attachments one email at a time, again.

So I built Dioveo. It indexes your entire Gmail history and treats attachments as what they are, files: search them like a drive, select thousands, and download one organized zip or send everything straight to Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive. Set a rule once and new attachments file themselves. The engineering turned out to be genuinely hard (Gmail's attachment IDs are not even stable between fetches, which once silently doubled my index), and that difficulty is exactly why no built-in button for this exists.

I run Dioveo solo and bootstrapped. My first paying customer was a US medical practice that googled the problem, connected a 70,000-attachment mailbox, and upgraded twelve minutes later at full price. That told me the pain was real. Google CASA verified, GDPR compliant, EU servers, and a permanent free plan so you can see your own attachment library before paying anything.
