Magnificent Platform
I’m about a month into using this platform and I’m highly impressed. The uses cases keep popping into my head. I’m running three documentation sites so far. The best way I can describe this platform is a documentation publishing platform that lets you publish and manage content. The default use case is product or code documentation. But I also used it to publish a historic book I have been looking to publish online. Basically I created a local project in Cursor, then I committed it to GitHub and it deploys changes to documentation.ai. One feature that I’m still trying to understand is the AI context. I’m hoping I can add knowledge for the AI chatbot but it’s a little confusing. Support is fairly responsive.
Setup is well described but the first time integrating with Cloudflare was a bit intimidating. For my projects I’m using Cloudflare pages and Astro for the site front ends and this for the content. I would love to see a roadmap to know what additional features are planned.

Go for tier 4
It's easy to use and saves a lot of time. It's definitely a good purchase. Unfortunately, it's leaving AppSumo and I doubt I'll have time to upgrade my plan to tier 4. However, if you have the opportunity, go for tier 4 without hesitation.
It's not magic—it requires some effort on your part—but it simplifies things.
The only thing that would be brilliant is if the interface could be translated into other languages...

People are sleeping on this.
I cannot believe this only has 16 reviews.
This is an outstanding piece of software. Everything works really well. Sure, I have seen a couple of small bugs here and there, but the product just works so well.
I am using it as a Help Docs site, so no integration with Github. It works perfectly for this use-case.
The team is also very responsive to feedback.
When you consider Gitbook is $65 per month, this is a steal.

Is it worth buying in the age of AI?
My big question when buying Documentation AI was this. Can’t I just have an AI do all this for me instead? That sounds good until you really think about it. You are going to be running multiple pieces of software. Some to make sure the search is snappy. Some to make sure the MCP server is working well. And then you still have to keep all those pieces in sync every time something changes or updates.
I went back and forth on it for a while after our chat about using Claude Code or another AI to build and maintain my own docs site. On paper it looked like a quick win. In practice it meant I would be the one babysitting the whole stack forever. That got old fast in my head.
In the end I pulled the trigger on Documentation.ai and I am really glad I did. The product is genuinely good and very useful in the age of AI especially because of the MCP integration. I do not have to maintain all the different bits of software myself or keep worrying about whether everything stays in sync. It just works.
Running and maintaining your own documentation website takes more ongoing work than it first appears. Documentation.ai handles that complexity for you so you can focus on the actual content instead of the plumbing. For me it has been worth every bit of it.
I was confused about the AI credits too, but they seem to be very generous and the system seems to just work really well. I mean it's really nice talking to your documentation just saying replace every word X with Y and that's why this is revolutionary for us.
Roop is absolutely pushing out code like there's no tomorrow with this thing too. New features and fixes on a weekly basis.

Apr 15, 2026Thank you so much for your kind words.
I agree, the build vs. buy question comes up with most software. But with documentation, it goes beyond just publishing. It's also about how easily you can maintain content over time, how you generate and update screenshots, how you create videos, and how you keep everything in context as your product evolves. While we do not solve everything today, but...

Incredibly powerful! Saves hours of work, is intuitive, professional, and the team behind it is absolutely customer-friendly and quick.
Documentation AI is an outstanding and versatile tool that significantly simplifies both documentation and customer guidance. I use it successfully for numerous applications.
So far, I haven’t encountered any bugs; the user experience impresses with its intuitive simplicity, and the tool certainly holds its own against the established providers.
I recommend anyone who even remotely needs such a tool to take advantage of this opportunity. You won’t find a better deal anytime soon. I am convinced that Documentation AI will become a strong contender in this field in the near future.
My special thanks go to Roop, who took my individual requirements as well as the specific EU regulations into account and actively responds to community feedback. That is exemplary and earns my personal recognition.
I wish Documentation AI and the entire team continued success and a large, engaged user base.
