Customers appreciate DocXter - Plus Exclusive for its effective organization, AI agents, and user-friendly model choices. However, some users faced parsing issues and encountered difficulties with the help chat. The user interface lacks intuitiveness and an easy "upload" button, and the knowledge base navigation needs improvement. Despite these drawbacks, DocXter - Plus Exclusive is a promising tool with room for growth. With a 60-day money-back guarantee, it's worth giving it a try.

Just ok nothing great
The app promises to be good at comparing documents and reading OCR text. However, it falls short in both categories. The responses are also lacking and only giving a fraction of the prompt. This seems like something that was rushed to the market.

Provisional 5 stars
This came back for a 2-day sale; I literally was able to get DocXter with just minutes to spare before it became unavailable again. My initial impression is good! I have been looking for a reliable document scanner/chat for grad school PDFs. The purpose is not to replace me reading PDFs but help me solidify my knowledge and also search docs when I need to refresh info.
I have tried other PDF chats at AppSumo with mixed results. Often they don't seem to index the document that well. With DocXter, I've only had a chance to upload a 30 page paper and chat with it, but it worked great and was able to give me the summary and other points I needed.
I like the options of the different prompts but only tried the educational literature review so far.
I think the main downside is that the credit system is a bit complex and confusing; you eat credits by uploading as well as having docs searched, in addition to output. A simplified and more generous credit system would probably be better in the long run. But overall, I'm cautiously optimistic and giving this a provisional 5 stars.

nice idea - didnt work for me
I was not able to get this application to work.
I tried it on Chrome and Safari.
I tried it on a Mac, Android and Ipad
every time I got an error code.
I am sure it is my lack of technical skills, I am a simple user but I need products to work so sadly refunded this time.

DocXter Tier 3 Review: Promising, Yet Room for Growth
I’ve updated my review to reflect recent changes and improvements in DocXter.
I've been using DocXter Tier 3 for three months and am overall satisfied. Here's my breakdown:
### Pros:
- **Effective Organization:** It organizes documents well and allows efficient searching.
- **AI Personalities:** The pre-set AI personalities fit their purpose.
- **Model Choices:** Uses OpenAI and Anthropic, which are adequate.
- **User-Friendly Switches:** Easily switch use cases or models.
- **Improved Interface:** Added an easy "start" button and removed the "upgrade" button.
### Cons:
- **Parsing Issues:** Document parsing can fail post-processing, with no easy retry option. Deleting and redoing is the only fix, though credits aren’t used.
- **Help Chat Issues:** Promises email follow-up, but nothing happens.
- **AI Agents Update:** The promised AI agents are just expanded AI personalities with new graphics. Selection is faster, but there are too many to easily identify the right one.
- **Navigation Limitations:** No navigation among collections, and within a single file collection, the model is still "deaf."
- **Missing Automation:** Needs an "Inbox" collection for email/API document sending. Pre-processing and collection suggestions would enhance usability. An automated filter like Gmail's would be beneficial.
Overall, as an evolving software, I'm satisfied. I view the quirks as growing pains and expect improvements like AI Agents and better document processing. I give it five tacos because the founders are targeting a critical user niche and are working hard. However, they need to balance coding with strategic planning to ensure long-term success. Speed isn’t always the best approach.

One of the best apps I've purchased but...
Love this app and use it daily. So much time saving. I work a lot with language learning and lessons and often need to categorize parts of speech and create example sentences so the ability to choose from various AIs and even to have charts versus lists is amazing. I originally bought 1 code and then upgraded because I was using it so much.
Couple wishlist items though (in order of priority):
# 1 - t really has a hard time processing over 50 words and I regularly work with word lists of 200-500 words. Sometimes it gives me a sample of the first few words and then it asks me if I want to continue with the list. No problem except I often find that it misses words despite very specific organization of the list and very specific prompts. As a result, I need to export separate documents with smaller lists. And even then, even if the list is only 5 words, it will leave one out. Sigh....now it and I have some trust issues and I find I need always double check to see if it included what it was supposed to.
#2 - prompting takes a lot precision and effort and when it gives me what I need, how I need it, I'm like "Yay!" But then I'll ask it to do the exact same thing with the exact same prompt and it will give me the info in a completely different format. I wish there were a way to tell it specifically "THIS! LIKE THIS!" by referencing a previous result. In the meantime, I have found that giving it examples of what I need and how I need it in the prompt produces good results. But man does it ever take a a lot of time.
#3 - I wish in the list of "document types" it had an education option. I always use "Documentation Guru" and it works fine but I feel that if it knew I was I was specifically using it for education and learning purposes, it be able to fine-tune even better.
#4 - I wish I didn't need to close and reopen when I want to start a new chat. 7/10 times when I want to start a new chat, it allows me to upload the new doc but then says it can't process. If I close and reopen, it's fine. It's not a big deal just a pain in the butt.
All in all though, this program is excellent and I hope they continue developing more features and options.
