I'm writing this 2 months after my purchase and having tested this extensively.

You can generate slides off youtube link, pdf files, social media posts and even charts(now) with Dr Lambda. It makes a world of difference to my coaching/teaching business.

Sometimes, just for fun while chatting with my students, I even generate slides on topics outside of my coaching and delight them. It comes with ai narration if you generate video + slides. Oh, you can also export slides via pptx format into Google Slides to increase sharability. How about that!

This is definitely my go-to content creation tool. And if you ever see it coming to Appsumo again, don't hesitate, just grab it!

I'm super glad that I got on the top tier so there's plenty of credits even if I'm using GPT4o mostly.

*Also, don't listen to the naysayers who are happy to tell you that one day, Ai will come to Google Slides and you can do the same for free. DrLambda is more than and in business, you lose if you snooze. I'm happy for my competitors to wait while I leverage on this tool now to make things happen for my students. Even if Google Ai comes to replace that DrLambda can do in 3-6 months' time, I would have put massive daylight between myself and my competitors.

I use a different app called Gamma, and I was hoping that Dr. Lambda would create a full presentation based on prompts. The app still needs a lot of work, but I like the idea of paying once for an app.

I tried DrLambda the first week I got it, but I only started using it again recently, and my experience has been quite different. Using it for course content creation, the AI assistant has proven invaluable. Although it has strong points, like creating detailed voice-over scripts, I have identified a need for more features like slide animations and a wider range of layout options.

However, the prospect of upcoming features such as avatar cloning, and voice cloning adds an exciting dimension to DrLambda's capabilities. These additions could revolutionize presentations, making them more interactive and personalised. While I often edit in PowerPoint, DrLambda's content manipulations hinder the use of PowerPoint's AI features. Yet, discussions with their support team show promise for future improvements.

Despite these hurdles, DrLambda surpasses similar software and shows potential to rival industry leaders. I wholeheartedly recommend it to educators, especially for course creation.

Pros: Has potential
Cons:
1. Style and templates are limited to a handful of basic, simple styles. Indeed, I don't think any design consideration has been made for this important feature. You MUST offer more templates and better styles ASAP.
2. Tweaking the styles and templates takes so much time that I might as well just work with powerpoint or google slides.
3. And this is a bit shameful on you. You write on app sumo that video creation is only 20 credits, but that is for a low quality download. You charge 100 credits for a decent quality download. Indeed, none of us will be using the 20 credit downloads for anything client related. So, for Tier 1, at most, you can make ten videos a month.
4. There are very few voices, maybe 20 per gender, and only ONE avatar. A youngish female avatar. Thats just wrong of you to launch with so few of your features barely developed.
PLEASE connect with a high end creative slide designer and offer us more options. Please include high quality avatars, and please raise the credits per tier so this app sumo deal is more useful. Thanks.

Working reasonably well. But sometimes their website is hanging for long duration citing server issues.
