My Frustrating Experience with this Dukaan Scam
I purchased Dukaan on June 11, 2022 hoping for a simple way to launch an online store. Instead, the platform has been virtually unusable for me. Core features are incomplete or broken, countless bugs plague every step, and the Dukaan team provides no real support. After months of trying, I still cannot launch a working store – despite paying for a top-tier plan – and I’m deeply disappointed. Other users have reported virtually the same problems: one reviewer called Dukaan “poorly developed software” with “nonsensical” limitations, and another bluntly described it as “one of the worst products” they’ve bought
Dukaan sounds great on paper, but in practice it’s been a nightmare. The platform is full of bugs, missing key features, and backed by radio-silent support. After months of trial and error, I still have no working store, and I doubt I ever will. Anyone considering Dukaan should know they’re likely to encounter the same frustrations. Between the technical failures and lack of help, Dukaan has completely failed to deliver a functioning e-commerce solution. I am thoroughly disappointed and cannot, in good conscience, recommend it.
Here are the key issues I’ve encountered:
Missing and broken functionality, Basic store features don’t work as expected. For example, Dukaan won’t even let you add simple product units (“piece” isn’t a valid option!) Core elements like product categories often fail – one user reported that “Product categories content is not getting updated”. In short, many fundamental tasks are either impossible or extremely buggy on Dukaan, making it impossible to build a real store. One angry buyer summed it up: “Worst product full of bugs… all novices are handling technical queries”
Persistent technical bugs and glitches, Dukaan is riddled with recurring errors. Every week something new breaks – plugins crash, pages fail to load, data won’t save. persistent bugs plague the platfor and “critical features frequently malfunction”. On my store, glitches have made checkout stop working, prevented customer emails from sending, and left product pages blank. Often my site goes down for days with no fix. This chronic instability has ruined any confidence I had; as one reviewer put it, I always had to shut down the account and go to other eCommerce platform
Dukaan’s support is practically nonexistent. I’ve spent hours emailing the team and posting in forums, but I get nothing useful back. As one user reported, they “emailed them so many time but never got one single answer”. I’ve had valid questions completely ignored. Even in the official community group, my posts sit pending for weeks without a reply. paying for a premium plan hasn’t bought any help – the Dukaan team simply doesn’t respond in any timely way.
Checkout and shipping failures, The checkout flow itself is broken, so I can’t sell anything. Dukaan insists on mandatory fields (ZIP code and PIN code) that don’t even work correctly
Cannot handle both physical and digital products, Dukaan fails even at the basics of product types. If you enable digital-product support (Tier 3), it apparently disables physical sales entirely – forcing people to run two separate stores for digital vs. physical items
Dukaan isn’t functional as a full store for either physical or digital goods unless you fit very narrow conditions.
No roadmap or updates, only design tweaks: Beyond the bugs, there’s almost no progress on promised features. Dukaan has shown no RoadMap [and] no updates for many years, aside from superficial interface changes. Many features advertised during the deal (like true white-label branding, advanced integrations) are still missing. It feels like the company was more focused on making the site look nice than fixing core problems. Customers are left with a pretty storefront that simply doesn’t function
Frustration after paying for a higher tier, What’s most infuriating is that I paid for a premium plan expecting reliability, only to be let down. Many of us have “regret[ted] purchasing higher Tier” given how little you actually get. I thought I was investing in a scalable platform, but instead I got endless workarounds. The only thing I’m currently “selling” is disappointment.
Finally, fault AppSumo for offering this deal. Several buyers have criticized AppSumo for listing Dukaan without proper vetting. As one review put it, this has been a “very bad experience with the creators as well as appsumo who just offer any products without checking its credibility.” AppSumo should recognize that Dukaan (in its current state) is not ready for the market.
