Q: Hi Mat: I read with interest that you claimed to have tons of video tutorials.

I was hugely disappointed when I went to the Tutorials page of your website and found only two videos. What I didn't know, and only discovered by trying a link in one of your other answers, was that each of the videos on the Tutorials page has a playlist button that leads to all your video tutorials. I would like to suggest that you add to that page on your website obvious notes such as "Click the Playlist icon in the upper-right corner to see the full list of 28 videos in this category." Further, it would also be quite helpful to provide a link to your YouTube page where these same videos can be found.

A: Thanks for the reply Bill and I'm so sorry for the confusion that we created. I'll explain why we did it, and what we've done to resolve it so that you have clarity going forward :)

When embedding a YouTube playlist it puts the play count icon in the corner so I agree, it's not really the easiest to find. When we first launched we quickly put them on YouTube in an effort to give people access without waiting but with the plan to host them using our Voomly account. Also, the problem with hosting tutorials on our main website is that our sales page exists there and we NEVER want our agency clients to have their customers see our product offerings because your customers are your customers and we aren't in the business of poaching them.

We realized that the Voomly platform required us to create a "paid" registration and then give a coupon code for access and THAT too wasn't the best plan either.

Ultimately, we decided to host our tutorials on our existing Thrivecart Learn+ platform so now, a simple registration link gives access to all of the tutorials.

Since we have updated our website www.Rockstarinfo.com/tutorials to link to our Learn+ platform, that is where ALL of the tutorials will stay moving forward.

As for a link to the videos on our YouTube channel. The YouTube videos all have backlinks to our sales page so we don't want that anywhere inside the platform as we have committed to protecting agency clients from having their customers see backlinks to our main site. To honor this, the tutorial links inside the Rockstar SMS platform all go to Learn+ as well.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for sharing this feedback. If I read your question right, at first you thought we only had 2…but then realized the playlist was shared, is that correct?

For our clients all of the tutorials are in our ThriveCart learn+ platform. Here is a link to register for them for free if you’d like to see them in the actual tutorials platform.

https://rockstar.thrivecart.com/rockstar-sms-tutorials/

We are also adding monthly live zoom training and all of those videos will be added to their own section of the training platform for Free.

Thanks to your feedback we will add this registration link to our main site as well later today.

"at first you thought we only had 2…but then realized the playlist was shared, is that correct?"

That's correct. I've never seen a playlist button in the corner of a video preview frame, so I would never have thought to look for one. My video experience is primarily on YouTube, where I watch tutorial videos all the time, and the playlists are always on a web page outside of the video.

By the way: I did eventually find a YouTube channel for your tutorials, which is familiar and easy to use. But now I'm confused: there are some videos available through your website, some through Voomly, some through ThriveCart: Are these all the same? Are they all different? How do I know when I've found everything? Why do you have so many channels? Why should I have to register at ThriveCart to get the kinds of tutorials that should be openly available on YouTube? I just don't get it....
