Q: One last crazy question - send texts out as an aliased or spoofed phone number so replies go to main office line

Sorry for all the questions, my clients have conversational text messaging options with their current phone provider, and since you do not have a mobile app, they are asking is there anyway these text messages can go out using their own number (spoofed I guess?), this way if someone responds to the outbound sms blasts, they can easily have the conversation from their app on their cell phone for their main number.

A: Something that many people don’t realize is if you were texting marketing information from your cell phone in the United States, you’re actually breaking the law. It is illegal to send text marking from any phone number that does not have an automatic way to be removed from the list when people reply stop to opt out.

They can easily have a conversation from their cell phone using our platform. We don’t have a mobile app, but it is mobile friendly so they can have a browser window open with their SMS chat open. They can utilize our web hook to get a text message notification when someone is replying to one of their text blasts. Then they can simply open the browser on their mobile phone and reply to the customer there.

Anyone who’s using their personal mobile phone for business texting is putting themselves at a ridiculous amount of risk. The fines for violating TPA laws are up to $1500 per message sent. Not per conversation, per message sent in the conversation.
