If you want to be able to control this, and keep your data of everything for up a to a year, you can use a Data Retention add-on, that allows you to select how long you want your data retained (1day-365days)
why can this be useful, in a dev environment, and how is this an add-on?
This is useful in many cases, for ex., to be able to view a sending history, deliveries, and such.

It might be! That is the reason why this is as an addon. Only for customers that need it, or want to be able to configure Data retention within Emailit's workspace.

But maybe I'm wrong.
It is, as this is necessary for some companies to be able to retain data for some time, and for others to limit how long the data is retained. Especially within the EU, as GDPR and other regulations are pretty strict.
This is basically a core functionality, just accessible to customers now.
