Q: where do email replies go?

I understand that once you verify your sending domain you can send email from anything@sendingdomain.com using EmailIt's SMTP server settings.

But if EmailIt doesn't provide email inboxes, after our customer receives the email from us, if they reply to our email, where does it go?

Thank you

A: Hi there,

The replies would default go to anything@sendingdomain.com, as you can still have MX records on the APEX/ROOT for your inbox provider.

If you do not have any, you can just set Reply-To header.

Thanks for your reply. The docs say to add SMTP on the Credentials page, but we can't find that page. Can you tell us where it is?

It has been renamed to API Keys: https://emailit.com/docs/guides/sending-using-smtp

Thanks for the quick reply. So are these incorrect?

https://docs.emailit.com/guides/sending-using-smtp

https://docs.emailit.com/guides/creating-credential

They are for our API v1 and we are transitioning to API v2 slowly, which is in Beta.

So they are both correct, just different wording.
