Felt pressured by “ending soon” + AppSumo+ requirement; deal returned cheaper and without the AppSumo+ requirement (product works)
The product itself has been functioning, which is why I’m not rating this lower. But the buying experience left me feeling pressured, and afterward I honestly felt cheated.
I purchased the Emailit deal when it was marketed as “ending soon,” and then it returned less than a month later. On top of that, I was REQUIRED to buy AppSumo+ to access the deal at the time. After about a month, the deal came back again—this time without requiring AppSumo+.
The pricing difference makes this worse. I paid $360.81 total. If I bought today, it would be roughly $303.61 (based on the tax rate implied by my receipt), about $57.20 less. That includes the price increase from the tier 4 deal, which was $300 and is now $320.
I understand deals can come back, but the combination of the urgency messaging/deal "ending" and a temporary AppSumo+ requirement doesn’t feel transparent.

Thanks for the response. I understand you may not control AppSumo pricing or eligibility, but given the current listing price, it can be less expensive now since AppSumo+ isn't required for purchase.
What I paid (at the time)
Item total: $398.00
First purchase discount: -$29.90
AppSumo+ discount: -$26.91
Subtotal before tax: $398.00 - $29.90 - $26.91 = $341.19
Tax charged: +$19.62
Total paid: $341.19 + $19.62 = $360.81
Implied tax rate from my receipt
Tax rate = $19.62 / $341.19 = 0.0575046 (about 5.7505%)
If purchased today (current listing price: $319.00)
Item total today: $319.00
First purchase discount (10%): -$31.90
Subtotal before tax: $319.00 - $31.90 = $287.10
Estimated tax (same rate): $287.10 x 0.0575046 = $16.51
Estimated total today: $287.10 + $16.51 = $303.61
Difference
$360.81 - $303.61 = $57.20 cheaper today (estimated)
This is the core issue behind my review: the deal was presented as “ending soon,” access required AppSumo+ at the time, and then it returned shortly after, without the AppSumo+ requirement, making it cheaper today.
I’ll also email AppSumo support as you suggested to confirm checkout totals and ask them to address the difference.

We are sorry to hear that you are disappointed. As an AppSumo+ customer, you should be able to ask AppSumo about this, as they should be able to help you!
There is no way in which it would be less expensive now, compared to how it was before.
However, if that is the case for you, you can definitely email support@appsumo.com with this and they should be able to refund the difference or help you get this sorted out.
As we do not have this under control, this is all we can recommend.

I understand that. However, this is a special deal (and as such), it is not available all the time, and is always limited. If you felt pressured and bought the AppSumo + only to get Emailit when the deal was running out. You might be able to refund it (as you should have 60 days money-back guarantee), so reach out to AppSumo support (you can CC us on the email - support@emailit.com).
We do not know how AppSumo+ works in this case, however, as the nature of this deal is a limited special deal (it comes and goes, and might never comeback), this is the risk you are taking.
So our pricing was cheaper compared to now, but you had to pay for the AppSumo+ to get this.
