Sends mail well. List management is broken.
Sending works. Audiences and automations do not.
What we found in our account:
- Adding an email that already unsubscribed puts the person back on the list. The API returns success and erases the unsubscribe date. 78 people who opted out came back this way and got a welcome email again
- The "added to audience" automation fires for people who are already on the list. One person got the same welcome email 9 times. Almost half of all runs matched no real sign-up
- Automations send to people seconds after they unsubscribe (!!!)
- Most API list filters (email, search, subscribed=false, per_page) are ignored.
- A suppression entry once disappeared on its own, and the mail went out.
We sent a full report with IDs and timestamps to support. Weeks later, nothing has changed. We had to build our own opt-out register outside Emailit to stay GDPR-safe.
Fine for transactional mail. Not safe for newsletters yet.

Sep 23, 2026Hi there,
Thank you for your feedback!
Automations are still in Beta and subscription status is not yet supported, so in this case it resets it as it does not know it.
This is going to be address soon, as well as the list filtering.
Suppressions cannot disappear by themselves, so this is something you might look into to see how that happened. The only real-scenario that comes up my mind is that you used Automation to either suppress or reset suppression for that email.
We are in the process of a large-scale migration that was in preparation over the last 6 months, which will finish next week, and we will be able to address the remaining issues that we did not manage to address yet.
