Q: A Few Questions Before We Get Started
Hi there,
We’re very interested in Encharge and love what your platform offers! Before we move forward, I have a few quick questions:
What is a sub-account? We have two separate companies—would each be considered a sub-account? Any extra cost or limitations?
Which pricing tier would we need if one company has 11K contacts and the other 5K? Can we use separate tiers or would we need Tier 4 for the combined total?
How are emails sent through Encharge?
Do emails go out via our own domain (e.g. through Google Workspace), or are they routed through your servers? Just trying to understand how sender reputation and deliverability are managed.
Will the platform detect and manage duplicate email addresses across both lists?
Let me know if you need more info. Looking forward to your response!
Thanks,
Lizzy

May 30, 2025A: Hey Lizzy! Thanks so much for the kind words and thoughtful questions 🙌 Let’s go through each one:
1️⃣ What is a sub-account?
A sub-account in Encharge is like a separate “workspace” — totally isolated from others.
Each one has its own:
• Contacts
• Flows
• Emails
• Team members
• Domains and sender settings
So yes — if you have two separate companies, each would be set up as its own sub-account. No extra cost! The number of sub-accounts you get depends on your tier (for example, Tier 4 gives you 5 sub-accounts).
2️⃣ Which tier for 11K + 5K contacts?
You’d need a total of 16,000 subscribers, so Tier 4 is the best fit — it includes:
• Up to 25,000 total subscribers
• 5 sub-accounts
• Unlimited emails
• Email verification included
• Full automation (Flows, segmentation, tagging, etc.)
You can divide the 25k subscriber limit however you like between the sub-accounts — for example:
• Company A: 11k
• Company B: 5k
(Still well under your cap)
3️⃣ How are emails sent?
All emails are sent through Encharge’s built-in email infrastructure — so you don’t need to connect SMTP or Google Workspace. You’ll verify your sending domain (e.g. yourcompany.com), and emails go out using that domain, but routed through our system.
We handle all deliverability, bounce tracking, and reputation management — and we include free email verification to help keep your list clean.
4️⃣ Duplicate email detection?
Duplicates are tracked per sub-account — not across all of them. That means someone can exist in Company A’s list and separately in Company B’s list without conflict. Within a single sub-account, Encharge automatically prevents duplicate emails from being added.
Let us know if you want help getting set up or exploring a test use case — happy to walk through it with you! 🚀
