Q: Double-Opt-In available?

I just found in your roadmap that "double-opt-in" is "under review". Does that mean you don't have DOI at all? That's a bummer.

I know that the GDPR legal text doesn't demand it explicitly but courts and authorities, especially in Germany and Austria (DSGVO), see it as mandatory and best practice. So, that's a no-go for these countries.

A: Hey Mrio! 👋

You're totally right to call this out — especially with the GDPR landscape in Germany and Austria. While Double-Opt-In (DOI) isn’t legally mandated across the EU, we know it’s considered a must-have for compliance and best practice in your region.

So here’s the deal:

✅ Double Opt-In is possible in Encharge today — using a custom Flow
We don’t have a native “DOI toggle” yet, but you can absolutely implement the logic using our automation builder.

Here’s how it works:
• Create a Confirmation Email with a unique confirmation link (to a thank-you landing page or custom URL like "yourwebsite.com/?ref=confirmed")
• Send that email automatically when someone enters your account
• Build a segment of people who clicked that link
• Only send future campaigns to this “Confirmed” segment

We walk through the full setup step-by-step in our help article here:

👀 That said, we are actively reviewing a native Double Opt-In feature (with confirmation tracking built-in) and you can follow the progress here:

We're under new ownership as of 2025 (hi! 🙋‍♂️🙋‍♂️), and building the most flexible automation platform for teams like yours — with the structure and compliance you need, without monthly fees.

Thanks again for your thoughtful question. Let us know if you'd like help getting your DOI Flow set up — happy to walk you through it!!
