I understand the confusion and we do get that question a lot.

Encharge handles all email sending in-house, so yes it is a replacement for Mailchimp and no you don't need Mailchimp to use Encharge.

We do have an integration with Mailchimp but it works differently. You can bring Mailchimp subscribers that have subscribed on a Mailchimp form or landing page to Encharge, then you can do advanced automations/flows in Encharge. Learn more here – http://encharge.io/integrations/mailchimp
