Q: Is there a native double opt-in yet?
The EU adopted GDPR in 2016, and it came into force in 2018. That means it has been nearly a decade... are you still using a workaround flow?

Edited May 21, 2025A: Hey Sumob — you’re absolutely right to ask this, especially with GDPR in mind.
At the moment, true double opt-in in Encharge still requires a custom Flow. While we’ve made it easier to build and replicate (and we provide a template to help), it’s not yet a native, one-click setting inside our Forms.
We agree it should be simpler — and it’s something we’re actively discussing internally. We don’t want to promise a timeline just yet, but we do recognize how important this is, especially for EU-based businesses.
Appreciate you keeping the pressure on — and thanks for helping us stay honest!
$1000 response right there... though I still don't see how to do it within Encharge's forms.
OK, so there's a disconnect or a lie somewhere: "Hey, thanks for getting in touch. It's not possible to create direct Double-opt in using a Form,. A flow is needed in order to achieve the desired result."
OK, so it turns out this was a TOTAL LIE. There is no native double opt-in. It's not even planned.
Can you please tell me how to achieve this - all your documentation is incorrect (no mention of a native double opt-in) and your roadmap seems well out of date. Pretty annoying to waste over an hour of a day trying to find a feature that should be the absolute default.
Totally hear your frustration, and you're not wrong. There’s no native double opt-in toggle in Encharge Forms yet — only via a Flow. We absolutely agree this should be simpler and more visible.
It’s something we’re actively discussing, but no ETA we can commit to yet. In the meantime, email support@encharge.io and we’ll personally walk you through setting it up. Appreciate you keeping us sharp!
