Q: So I run events and I just finished one with 1000 people signed up They all have opted in to receive email ...

from me

Am I allowed to upload the attendees to the event to your platform?
Is this considered cold email?
I’ve been emailing them from Mailchimp because I tried to send them from sendfox and sendfox wouldn’t send out the emails
Only with Mailchimp do the emails go out
I dislike sendfox as they don’t send out my emails even though their staff have verified all my mailing lists are clean, and mailchimp is expensive for my 15000 combined email lists

I’d love to transfer my lists to you
But having been burned repeatedly by sendfox I’m worried you’ll do the same
From my 6000 personal contacts sendfox only sends out 380 emails - I don’t know why! But I’m so looking to find another solution

Only mailchimp sends out all my emails but they are soooo expensive

Hope you can be my new email provider

Especially because my event has segments

People who signed up
People who signed up and selected a Femi key
People who signed up selected a ticket and went to cart

People who signed up and completed the purchase

I’d like to personalize emails to them

My event had a problem with the ticketing for two weeks on heysummit that didn’t allow people to go to the final step of purchase

I’d live to send these people a special offer

Also, about affiliate links. I purchase tech products and I do honest reviews and on the products I like I work with the companies as an influencer or ambassador to and it’s all tracked by affiliate links. I always buy the product first. And I do the tech reviews.

Would my tech reviews be considered illegal by your company with the affiliate link?

I only promote products that I’ve purchased and use and love. It’s nice that I can use my recommendation to then receive some funding as people trust me.

I would like to be able to do my tech reviews in a newsletter.

Please let me know.

A: Hi there,

Happy to help.

When you say that they have all have opted in to receive email from you, do you mean they signed up a form or somehow indicated they agree to receive communication?

As for the affiliate links, it depends on the emails. If your list is clean, your emails are not spammy and overly salesy, you provide additional value (like honest reviews, articles on how to use the products) it should be fine. But solo-ads / solo-offers / overly salesy FOMO affiliate emails are not allowed.

Hope this helps!

Yes they signed up for the event, and we have been manually emailing them. It’s such a chore. I wish I could automate it as it’s quite labor intensive. I wanted to put it into like an email chain but sendfox wouldn’t send them out and since I have a free mailchimp account I have to send out each email every day manually.

Yes the affiliate newsletter I will only review software and products I have purchased and use. I want it to be useful to fashion people.
