Q: Thrivecart Integration with Write Key
I cannot seem to get a straight answer as to why my customer data is not flowing through from Thrivecart to Encharge. I've integrated via write key, have tried de-authorizing and re-authorizing the integration, and have had Thrivecart support look into this from their end. Chatting with Encharge support tells me that I need their Premium version to integrate (which I understand if I want to have native functionality, but that's not my question) and don't seem to understand the write key integration in Thrivecart. How can I get this resolved??

First off — I’m really sorry you’ve been bounced around on this. I can absolutely understand how frustrating it is to hear “you need Premium” when that’s not even the integration path you’re trying to use 😅
Let me clarify what’s happening.
If you're connecting ThriveCart → Encharge via Write Key, that means you're using their Segment-style tracking (server-side event forwarding). That relies on ingesting event data into Encharge.
Here’s the key part:
As of the 2025 AppSumo campaign, event ingestion (Ingest API / event-based tracking) is not included in the Growth plan (LTD). It’s part of the Premium plan.
So what’s likely happening is:
• ThriveCart is sending events via the Write Key
• Those events require the Ingest API endpoint
• Growth (LTD) accounts don’t process those events
• So nothing appears in Encharge
That’s why support is pointing you toward Premium — not because native ThriveCart integration is required, but because the event ingestion method depends on Premium-level functionality.
Now — I also want to be transparent here.
We (Daniel & David) weren’t involved in the 2024 decisions around API limitations. When we relaunched in 2025, we had to clearly separate Growth (LTD) from Premium to keep things sustainable long-term. We don’t want to overpromise something and regret it later.
That said 🙌 there are ways to make ThriveCart work with Growth.
Instead of using Write Key, you can:
• Use ThriveCart’s webhook functionality
• Send contact data (including email) to Encharge via webhook
• Trigger flows using:
• "Person created"
• "Tag added"
• "Field updated"
This avoids event ingestion entirely and works within the Growth plan.
If you'd like, email us at [email protected]
and mention this AppSumo thread. We’ll:
• Check whether your account is Growth or Premium
• Confirm whether events are being blocked
• Help you set up the webhook method step-by-step
We want you up and running — not stuck in tool limbo.
