Q: Transactional Emails

I kindly propose the inclusion of a limited number of monthly transactional emails in each LTD tier. Transactional emails—such as order confirmations and password resets—are crucial for businesses to present a professional image and build trust with their customers. Their high open rates and customer expectations make them indispensable for user engagement and satisfaction. The absence of this feature might deter potential buyers who view transactional emails as essential for their operations, or dissatisfaction from early addopters from 2021's campaign. By offering a capped volume aligned with each tier, you can enhance the value proposition for LTD users without significantly impacting your MRR. This approach could also increase adoption rates and foster positive word-of-mouth, benefiting Encharge's growth and reputation.

A: Hey ASW23768 — really thoughtful suggestion, and we appreciate how you framed it 🙏

You’re 100% right that transactional emails are critical for trust and user experience. We hear you — and honestly, this is one of those tough tradeoffs we had to make when designing the LTD.

Here’s the transparent scoop:

🔒 Transactional emails are part of our Premium plan only, which is subscription-based. We didn’t include them in the LTD (Growth plan) because:

• They require a very different deliverability setup, often on dedicated IPs
• They come with higher infrastructure and compliance overhead
• They’re used in more mission-critical scenarios where uptime SLAs matter

That said — your point about offering a capped number per month to LTD users is a smart one, and we’ve actually discussed it internally. But to be honest, we don’t want to commit to something we might need to walk back later, especially with a one-time payment model.

We are, however, noting interest in this direction. If we ever offer a “transactional add-on” or carve out a hybrid plan for LTD folks, you’ll be the kind of user we’d reach out to first. And if you’re a 2021 buyer with a specific use case in mind, feel free to email us at support@encharge.io — we can sometimes offer case-by-case solutions there.

Thanks again for the constructive and well-articulated suggestion 🙌 Let’s keep the conversation open.

Thank you for the transparent reply. I understand the trade-offs. If offering e.g. 250–2,500 transactional emails (Tiers 1–6) doesn’t affect your MRR or operations, it may boost adoption. Including them in LTD tiers or as a paid add-on with optional overages could help. Users may prioritize them over integrations they can handle through webhooks. Thanks again for the great product and openness.

Really appreciate your understanding 🙏

I hear you — and I love the idea of a capped transactional email add-on for LTD users. You’re right that it could be a win-win without impacting our MRR too much. I’ll make sure this feedback is flagged for our team’s next planning session.

Thanks again for being such a constructive voice here — we’re genuinely grateful for users like you 🚀
