Q: What are sub-accounts?
Hi,
I have a question that what is the meaning of sub-accounts here?
does it means email id's we want to send message?
OR
It means for example in tier 2, 3 subaccounts are there, so we can have three different company domian we can use like xyz@mycompany.com, abc@mycompany.com etc.
Secondly, how many email ids for 1 company we can add, for example I have my company name DFG.
I have three email ids- umar@dfg.com, admin@dfg.com etc.
so thats a confusion, please tell specifically for tier 2 as I am trying to buy that.
thank you:)

May 7, 2025A: Hey Mohdumarraza94! 😊
Sub-accounts in Encharge are separate accounts under a single master account, each functioning independently. Here’s how it works:
• Sub-accounts are separate entities: Each sub-account has its own contacts, email campaigns, automation flows, and settings.
• They share the total contact limit of the main account. For example, if you are on Tier 2 (10,000 contacts and 3 sub-accounts), all three sub-accounts combined must stay within the 10,000 contact limit.
• You can use sub-accounts for different businesses, brands, or clients. For example, you could use one sub-account for "xyz@mycompany.com" and another for "abc@mycompany.com".
• Each sub-account can have its own sending domain (like dfg.com), but they are all managed under your main login.
Regarding your question about multiple email IDs (like umar@dfg.com, admin@dfg.com), you can set these as different sending domains within the same sub-account, but they will share the contact limit.
In Tier 2:
• You have a total of 10,000 subscribers across all 3 sub-accounts.
• You can add as many email IDs (sending domains) as you like within each sub-account.
Would you like me to give you a few examples of how this works in practice, especially for your company DFG? Let me know. 🙂
Yes please give for more clarity
Here’s how sub-accounts work in Tier 2 for your company DFG:
✅ Example 1: Separate Brands
• Sub-Account 1: DFG Software (umar@dfg.com) — 4,000 contacts
• Sub-Account 2: DFG Hardware (admin@dfg.com) — 3,000 contacts
• Sub-Account 3: DFG Services (support@dfg.com) — 3,000 contacts
Total = 10,000 contacts (shared across all three sub-accounts) → each has its own [... continuing in the next comment]
[... second part of my reply] → Total = 10,000 contacts. Each has its own email campaigns, automations, and settings.
✅ Example 2: Same Brand, Different Domains
• Sub-Account 1: Sales Team (sales@dfg.com) — 6,000 contacts
• Sub-Account 2: Support Team (support@dfg.com) — 4,000 contacts
• Sub-Account 3: Not used (optional)
You can mix and match — but the total must stay within 10,000 contacts.
Thank you got your point, so if I have 3 companies, example dfg.com, abc.com, zxc.com
If talk about tier 2, I want one email id in dfg.com like admin@dfg.com-1 subaccount, then umar@abc.com-2nd subaccount, adam@zxc.com-3rd subaccount, it can work in that way also? If three different organisation added, under the limit of 10000 in tier 2? Pls confirm
Absolutely — you’ve got it!
With Tier 2:
✅ You can have three separate sub-accounts, each using a different domain/email like:
• Sub-Account 1: admin@dfg.com (Company DFG)
• Sub-Account 2: umar@abc.com (Company ABC)
• Sub-Account 3: adam@zxc.com (Company ZXC)
Each sub-account is independent, but they all share the 10,000 contact limit.
Thank you got it. very crystal clear now
More than happy to help! :)
