Q: Hi, I just purchased the plugin and for testing purposes first I installed it on an staging site, activated Easy IO and ....
My main problem at the moment is that for unknown reason lazy load doesn't work. I already purchased Wp compress and Shortpixel as well, and have the same problem plus those plugin don't resize images on the fly properly and I always have this issue when I test my website using Pagespeed insight. I purchased this plugin , thinking this would have no those problem. Could you please tell me what's the reason lazy load doesn't work? When I don't use any IO plugin , lazy load works fine with my current Theme.
A: Hi Nima, If you haven't already, please email our support team, and we'll look into it. The Q&A section here isn't for product support (https://appsumo.com/user_etiquette/).
Thanks Shane, I already reached customer support and waiting for the response. Thanks
Q: Hi Shane, hope you don't get bored answering our questions.
This plugin has proven to have a tremendous impact on website performance, its score from E to A is truly magical, but that's only in desktop mode.
Some of my Clients complain about no improvement at all in mobile mode, in Gtmetrix or on google pagespaed mobile mode score is still bad. Do you have a solution?
I would definitely give 5 tacos for the Ewww + Swiss Performance.
A: Hi hamam93, That's great to see those kinds of results on desktop, but definitely somewhat unexpected with mobile. I want to note that scores don't always tell the whole story. You might have a page that's quick to load, yet the simulation from the testing sites might say otherwise. The first thing I would do in a case like that is do real testing. Load the page on your phone, and see how it loads. If you're seeing something different than the test results, get a second and third "opinion". Run it on a friends device, have the client time it on their phone, or even a few phones. But, if the results on the phones line up with what the testing sites say, then we need to find out why, and that's a question for our support folks to handle, so shoot an email over to support at ewww.io. Or you can email support even if you just want us to double-check that it's loading okay on a mobile device, and we'll see if we notice anything amiss.
However, in the next couple of days I might upgrade to Tier 3. How can I upgrade? Also could you please add compability to Zion Page Builder if your Plugin is not campatible? Zion Page Builder is currently on AppSumo too. Thanks
A: Hi Thorti, You can upgrade at any time before the deal ends by going to My Products in your AppSumo account. You'll see an actions list that will include Change Plan next to the EWWW Image Optimizer. I've never tested Zion, but if you run into any trouble, we'll be happy to work with you to sort out any issues.
Does SWIS only work locally or does it also use the CDN?
2. You sell 2Tb/month in Tier 3, but by default we are blocked at 100k!
You explain in this section that you have to ask for an extension each time. For the Agencies, this is counter-productive (even for a private individual). This process should be made transparent and automatic. For example, detect an abusive use and block it for 15 minutes in an atomic way. This way you don't punish all users and get less work for your team.
3. To remove the mark: if I understand correctly, you can ask how to do it and you even propose a small drop-in/mu-plugin, but why not propose this plug-in directly (what a waste of time)?
4. Nothing specific about monthly plans / add-ons dedicated to sumo-lings?
5. How can we limit the bandwidth depending on the domain (essential for an agency)?
A: 1. SWIS works whether your resources are local or remote (on the CDN), but off-hand the JS/CSS minify options are the only ones where that would come into play, and the Easy IO CDN minifies them anyway, so you're double-covered. 2. Those are two entirely different limits. Bandwidth is only limited on the Easy IO CDN. The soft quota is for the Compress API (used for local compression). And as you've no doubt seen me mention, the soft quota is just a speed bump, that we raise until we find your "normal". Once it's high enough, it stays there, and doesn't need to move again. That is, unless you keep setting record months, and then "Hurrah for you and your agency!" :) There's no punishment here, if you already know you have 300k images to optimize, shoot us a note when you get started, and we'll bump it, takes us like 30 seconds to do :) 3. If you'd like us to include something like that directly in the plugin, you're welcome to suggest it: https://feedback.ewww.io 4. Sorry, we do not have specifics yet on that. If you purchase now, and go over 2TB, you're covered by overage protection until we have something specific for Sumo-lings. 5. Please see (and possibly respond to) my post here: https://feedback.ewww.io/b/features/p/client-subaccount-use-limits
Don't you think the right thing to do is to mention this soft limit in the deal details? All other similar product developers, like wp compress, have done so
@bizttco868, Our soft quota is not the same as the limits from other companies, which is why it doesn't get included in the deal details. I included it in my pinned post instead, so that folks could read about it--but don't worry, you aren't the only one who didn't read that :)
Q: Hello, can I buy the level 1 license and then, if everything is fine, move on to the level 2 or 3 license?
A: Hi @patomi, You can certainly do that! Do make sure you use the upgrade/downgrade functionality on your AppSumo dashboard, rather than purchasing new "codes".
Just be aware that you can only upgrade as long as this deal is still live. AppSumo refuses to make this important point clearer on the product page itself and hides it instead in a help article you have to actively search for. I talked to AppSumos "support" about this (they took a whole week to send a copy & paste answer …). Downgrade is possible for 60 days after purchase date.
Thanks for adding, that IS an important note. Upgrades can only be done while the deal is live. Of course, refunds can be done for 60 days, though I wasn't aware you could do downgrades during the 60 day window too. Good to know!
Q: 1.
what CDN do you use? 2. Can I use this for non-WordPress websites? 3. I use Cloudflare free and WP-Rocket, does EWWW work well with these 2?
A: Hi tampan! 1. We use BunnyCDN to power the Easy IO "edge". 2. You can definitely use it for non-WordPress sites, though we don't have any direct integrations outside WP. You can request other platforms, or use our PHP tools to build your own: https://github.com/nosilver4u/ewwwio-silo https://github.com/nosilver4u/ewwwio-php 3. Indeed EWWW IO does work well with both of those, and we work with the WP Rocket team periodically on any compatibility issues that arise. *Though I'd recommend trying out the SWIS Performance plugin included with this bundle, you might not need WP Rocket anymore.
A: We don't currently allow setting allocated bandwidth limits, but you can comment on the feature request here: https://feedback.ewww.io/b/features/p/client-subaccount-use-limits --do make sure to read my reply there, as it's an important consideration when limiting CDN bandwidth.
A: Hi goodguyfelipe! Cloudways is a great host, and I'm sure their CDN performance is probably pretty good (not sure who they partner with, or if they built their own). A: While I agree that's a slick sales tool, we don't have plans to build our own testing service. There are plenty of available options to tell you if you need to optimize your images, like Pagespeed Insights, GTmetrix, WebPageTest.org, and others. If you see room for improvement on your images, EWWW IO can make your site faster.

Q: I have purchased this deal and everything is working smoothly but there is one thing I am wondering.
Basically one of my old sites currently uses W3 Total Cache and Shortpixel for image compression. Under W3 total cache, I have linked my personal Bunny CDN account which I have paid for. This means all images, but also CSS, JS and theme files are all served by CDN.
Is it possible to take advantage of your Easy CDN to also handle these files? I know images will be delivered by Easy CDN, but I also want to take advantage of a CDN for CSS, JS and theme file delivery.
A: Hi maxmugen, Glad to have you on board! The Easy IO CDN will definitely let you deliver JS/CSS (and more). Look for the Include All Resources option in the EWWW IO settings--it usually gets enabled by default. Once that's enabled, be sure to disable the CDN function in W3TC.
A: With the Easy IO CDN, we give you a randomly generated domain name, like easdifhwe38.exactdn.com. But if you'd like to have your images delivered from a domain like cdn.my-awesome-site.com, that's what custom domains is for. Q: Hello,
I have got couple of questions:
1) How does the unlimited image works with this offer?
And what is the difference between purchasing Compressor API credits? For example: If I buy 25K API credits, for $50, it lets me optimize 25K images. But here, if I buy the tier 1, paying $49 one time payment, it will let me optimize unlimited images, every month, for the rest of my life (or the life of the plugin, I guess)?
2) I have an account on ewww.io - I bought some Compressor API. Does that mean, I am not eligible for this deal? If I am ineligible, then can a friend of mine purchase the deal, and share me a license?
By the way, thanks for the great image optimization plugin. I have run test on most of the available image optimization plugins, and EWWW worked best for me :)
A: HI @nrs, Great questions! 1. Indeed, you get to optimize all your images for life via the Compress API. 2. However, you'll need to use a different email than the one you already use, since this offer is not for existing accounts.
Therefore automatically images get uploaded. Can I make EWWW resize them automatically? BTW I don't need the original size, can I set an order to be deleted the original images in a website?
A: That's something we've worked with in the past, and if you're doing that on WordPress, it's highly likely images will be auto-optimized, though we have various hooks and functions you can use to build a custom integration. We do also have a tool to remove the originals if you have a bunch of pre-scaled images from WordPress resizing them down to 2560. It's built-in under Tools->EWWW Image Optimizer.

I need the answer so I will know if I purchase and how many codes.
A: The best solution is to just remove the plugins, though you can also revoke their access from your account. Do be careful of doing such a thing for the Easy IO CDN though, that's going to break their site, so removing the plugin is always the best option (or just disable the premium features so they can continue using free mode). We don't have a bulk restore function, so you would want to use your own backups if they asked you to restore the originals.
A: You can definitely use any of the tiers for agency usage, though tier 3 would give you the most room to grow. You can view all bandwidth and API usage from your account dashboard, but we don't disable the plugin remotely ever. That said, you can set quota limits on the API usage, but you get unlimited credits anyway, so that's not usually an issue with unlimited plans.
