Q: 1- zoom allows sharing a screen in Android devices (I don't know about IOS)
Will you add this feature soon?
It's a deal breaker for me at least
2- are you planing on having twitter and instagram for streaming? 3- i noticed that your android app is very basic Are you going to make the experience almost similar to the browser as what zoom is doing now?
I would love to use it as a webinar tool but 100 participants even on stacking codes seem very less to me. It would be great to have per code 100 more participants, that will make this deal more appealing.
A: Hi! Only the host needs a license, participation is free for all your participants. If you want to have more than 100 participants you can use the facebook/youtube live stream feature which is included in the plan!
I don't think 100 participants is small at all - not for what eyeson's purpose is. It's not meant to be solely webinar focused. It's akin to a Zoom, Teams, or Vectera type of online video conferencing with an impressive limit of participants at 9 on a video call and 100 on voice.
Something like a Live Webinar, HeySummit or other past deals that are tailored to webinars sounds more up your alley.
Being able to live stream and get reactions is just a plus to this platform, which doesn't have a limit whatsoever so it still serves that purpose, but I feel as though you're blurring the lines between their video conferencing functionality and their ability to live stream and conduct, more or less, a webinar.
Additionally, if you actually go to their pricing page on their website, you will see that FOR TEAMS and ENTERPRISE Pricing Plans have 100 participants as well.
As someone who is an "AS Alumni" surely you should be able to shed the light on technical infrastructure limitations.
If trying to bottle-neck more than 100 participant connections at once to a single conference line is the optimal maximum number of connections, then so be it. I don't want to have more than that if it means sub-par performance and considering that MICROSOFT Teams allows up to 250, I will take 100 from a startup.
It's not as though if you go to their pricing page you see their Enterprise solution offers 5,000 participants and we're only receiving 100.
I would kindly ask you, and other Sumo-lings to read the room first before making outlandish claims that 100 participants is too few.
Thank you so much for taking the time to get to know our product :) We think we're bringing a pretty awesome deal to the table as well :) have a great day!!
many thanks for the nice feedback! The 100 participants is currently a technical limitation - very sad about this! :-( We had already a few people complaining about this and definitely will review the options. Hope to get back to you soon!
I understand it's a technical limitation and don't fault you whatsoever. As you scale and grow and it makes sense financially to dump more money into the technical infrastructure, *then* go ahead, but at this time, and for the sake of this deal - do not rush it. Keep the product working well within its current constraints.
The deal is awesome and very generous when compared to previous deals and others in this space.
I would have zero regrets if I were you. While you always want to provide the absolute best and to give more, it's important to remember where your product stands at the moment. When it's ready to grow two legs and run on its own, you'll know when it's ready to make those improvements, but I rather have long-term sustainability and rock solid performance over crazy limits any day of the week. Plus the live streaming really helps bolster that effort and lets you displace that burden via other means - I would love to see a Restream integration to tackle more of that market and I think that will also appease those looking for higher limits so they can conduct their webinars without endangering your ecosystem.
Cheers! :)
Q: After entering the licence we get a screen saying that we have the Pro licence
Why do you show an "upgrade to pro" button then?
I can see that this is a very important topic. eyeson is fully cloud based and therefore you will get all updates and additional features. We also kept the code structure very simple. All features are included and only the number of hosts is adding up for a bigger team. This makes life much easier in providing new goodies to you.
Hi, thanks for bringing Eyeson, it looks useful and intuitive.
The question was " will we get updates and all NEW features" many will be wondering when you say "all features are included" are we to take that as all currently available features are included but we WILL NOT get any new features added in future?
It's important because otherwise tools can become a bit obselete and also we need to know what, if any, roadmap features we will benefit from if we decide to invest
Thanks
Q: So what does it mean by hosts?
Does it mean that we can host 3 different meetings for a single code?
A: Hi, many thanks for the question. The Host is a person that can create (or delete) meeting rooms and invite other people to the meeting. The host can also decide if live streaming, recording, layout settings and video reactions are activated or not in the room. Here's a link to our help-center with a short explanation of the different roles: https://help.eyeson.com/eyeson-room/en/articles/2544035-differences-host-participant-guest
Q: I want to present with 100 viewers and switch between live video and a PowerPoint deck.
Then record this video for future use by others. At the end I have a call to action (link to offer site). 1. Can this all be done? 2. Where is the historical call/presentation hosted? 3. What is the max viewers at once (or in total) for the historical call/preso? 4. Can I download the past preso video and audio for hosting on another site? 5. Will the call to action remain enabled for historical calls? Looks great! Just a few questions...
A: this can be done. use the room link for the speakers and use your youtube channel to have as many live stream viewers as you like. there is cloud recording available inside eyeson or if you live stream it you have it in your youtube channel right after your session. it depends on your use case - if you want to have direct conversations with all 100 people send them the room link. if you want them just watch send it to youtube. try with screen sharing or PDF presentation feature. to show a checkout link - you can display it inside the video and guide people where to navigate with screenshare or inside the chat of eyeson you can send clickable links or in your youtube channel you can add comments to a link if you use the live streaming.
A: Many thanks for the nice feedback. Honestly I just had a brief look at BeLive, which seems way more focussed on streaming than on meetings. We'll have a closer look and get back to you with more info. eyeson is ideal for quick & spontaneous meetings - just go in your meetingroom or click on a link and you are in. No installations, no meeting-code to type in. Perfect if you have remote people working together.
Very sorry to hear that you wanted to cancel... :-( But on & off means that you also got back to our service. :-)
I'm not 100% sure about this rule but will double-check it tomorrow. Could you drop us a short message at support@eyeson.com? Let's figure out a solution.
Q: Hello - a few questions!
1) How is the mobile experience? If a user joins on mobile does it negatively impact their call quality? (within reason obviously)
4) Is there a sort of hybrid functionality between video and voice? Or is 9 like a soft cap and 100 a hard cap? For example, Teams displays 4 video feeds at a given time. Depending on what plan you're on you can have a lot of participants on a conference call, but their video won't be shown unless they're "in focus" (part of the 4 main streams - not including presenter). Does eyeson function in the same way? Or do you have to commit to either a pure video conference of 9 users or a voice conference up to 100?
So happy to see you're enjoying our product! Would appreciate if you would take the time to write a short review too :D
Q: I have tried to figure out if I could charge students for jumping on a meeting, but can't find any info on that.
Do you offer the option for a student/client to book and pay, or at least to pay for accessing a group call? Or do we have to handle the registration/payment on our backend, then send a link to the customers?
And can THAT link be basically shared with anyone!?
A: Hi, we do not have the option to charge meeting guests for a call - the person(s) you invite can always participate for free. Registrations & payments needs to be handled through your backend. Once you've created a meeting room, there are two options to invite guests: 1) the link to the meeting room, which can also be shared. People with this link can also re-enter the meeting-room once you've started a meeting. 2) a Quick-join link, which is ideal if you want to add someone to a meeting. This link is valid only for the ongoing meeting and expires afterwards. We have a video tutorial on our website with more explanations (https://www.eyeson.com/howto/). Direct link to to the invitation options: https://youtu.be/qEr9rQBN-bo
Hi! Only the host will have to pay (in this case, just once!) and the participants will be able to join freely.
Q: Hi!
I wonder if there is a way to share the screen and still see the participants at the same time? Like the screensharing being the main (bigger) screen but the participants and the host can still see each other in smaller squares. I hope that makes sense.
Otherwise this seems like a very god choice for video-conferencing.
A: We currently have no Outlook integration - it's easiest to use the tools (Outlook, GCal,..) that you already use and just insert the link to the meeting room. The second reason is our focus on teams and how they work together. You can create a unlimited number of rooms - e.g. for a marketing team or for individual customers - and just re-enter in that same room. That makes it very quick to participate in a meeting - no meeting codes to key in. We have a tutorial on how to create & manage the rooms on our Help page (https://www.eyeson.com/howto/). Your platform looks very nice. I bought 1 code, but I wasn't sure whether to redeem it with my personal email, business email, or website email. Is it possible to change my email in the future? I don't see such an option now.

Is it included in this deal? If so which package?

Could you potentially use a YouTube stream and make it private so people on YouTube wouldn't actually see it live, then embed the YouTube stream.
That way, you could make it private and only show it to Members who had access to a particular page?
