Q: Capture workflow only works within browser or in desktop apps also?

Fable is more suited for web/ mobile applications that open in a browser.
Though Scribe is a great tool to create how-to guides, Fable helps you do much more:
- marketing teams embed fable demos in landing pages to generate more leads
- sales teams customize fable demos to close more deals faster
- support teams add fable guides in their help center
However, if desktop application is the main feature you're looking for: we do not have it today.

Fable's demo capture is done through a Chrome extension. It can only record browser-based applications and not desktop apps. For browser-based apps, we can not only capture the HTML but even the native transitions and animations.
However, some of our users have created interactive demos of their desktop apps by taking screenshots of their products and then uploading them to Fable.

BruceKraftJrPLUSThanks for the quick reply. We were hoping this would be an alternative to Scribe (scribehow.com) but not supporting workflows outside of the browser is a serious deal breaker.
The whole point here is to save us from the manual work - having to manually take screenshots and then uploading them to your platform defeats that.
