I used Undetectr followed by Mac's Audio Converter to make it 16-bit again because CD Baby wouldn't accept the 24-bit files created by Undetectr. Update after five days of heavy usage: I wrote lyrics to 13 songs in 96 hours to promote my natural health client's groundbreaking healing therapy. I ran finetuning about 225 times to get absolutely stellar songs. Consider the genres I chose to appeal to a wide variety of audiences: electric rock, acoustic rock, 1960s California surf rock, country, soft hushed acoustic, bubblegum pop, rap, EDM, R&B and world music. This shows finetuning offers a lot of variety. A handful of these songs would make my all-time-favorite songs list. Production value of songs is top notch. I would love to see WAV exports down the line, if possible. I listened to this 36-minute album five times through today. My 75-year-old mother listened to it and loved it. She initially laughed at me over this project, but once that sunny surf song sprung out of the speakers, she was hooked. "Excellent! Excellent!" she said.

I hope finetuning continues to improve this remarkable software. Some things work rather unpredictably. Sometimes, with a lyrics flub, I can go in and get back the same music with corrected lyrics, but most times I can't. I don't understand this. I would like to see a lot more settings in Eras. It is hazy to me how the intersection of Mood and Scene work. Perhaps I just need to experiment more to grasp it better. Grid view needs to be improved, as it's impossible to see beyond a few characters. Because we can't set default views, you're going to waste time clicking to list view over and over. I hope this can be resolved soon.

Is finetuning worth the price now? Absolutely and then some!

I am now planning to make two more albums this spring and summer.

I spent about 25 hours a week from 2001 to 2005 making an 86-minute concept album with a huge variety of styles. For many years, I've wanted to get back to making music, but I am busy with so much else. finetuning just reignited my fuse to create in this space. I am megawatt hot to make a steady stream of albums across a wide range of styles.

Please increase the song length! I'd love to see at least 5 minutes, and many would want all the way to 60 minutes for meditation music, for example.

What a fun and wild ride it is to create with finetuning! I bought this a month ago and just had the time to redeem and fire it up. Wow—this is a firecracker! I am having a blast trying out music for some lyrics I've had, and it's cool to hear all the variations. Now, I'm imaging ways to help my client's natural health business grow by putting out an album full of catchy lyrics about healing.

Please add longer lengths and the ability to go in and edit a finished track in case of a lyrics mistake. It would be cool to see all the tracks within a track to turn off some instruments or make them louder in the mix. Perhaps this tool isn't meant for this kind of in-depth editing, but the idea came.
