This product has become less functional without a monthly subscription. As a result, our options have become limited, and the voices sound robotic. This experience has made it difficult to trust the product again.
I've been trying for literally 8 months to get answers to some basic tech problems and bugs and issues, which I never get help with. After I think 90 full days I got a reply from the co founder saying 'please explain what the problem is', which I've done now 12 times, in detail. Then he proceeded to ignore me again for 4more months.
Here are my issues that are as yet unresolved.
1: Autopick media does not work. I’ve tried in various browsers, at least 20 times, it simply doesn’t do it. It maybe auto picks clips for about 2-3 scenes, but then gives up and does not do the rest of the video and I have to very slowly manually go through line by line and autopsic myself
2: When doing blog to video, even if I select ‘entire post’ it never actually does the entire post, just a summary
3: When generating using ‘idea to video’, I select a duration of 10 minutes and it NEVER creates a video that long, the longest it’s done is about 1.5 minutes even with a detailed prompt
4: On idea to video mode, it doesn’t Autopick any media.
5: How can I create a video from a text script I already have? I want to just paste it in and have it auto generate the video and split it into the scenes and auto pick the media? It does split the copied text into sections, but it doesn’t autopick the media for any of the sections.
6: If I summarise a long blog post to 5 minutes, it just summarises it to 2 minutes or less. What do I have to do to get it to actually make a video longer than 5 minutes?
7: When autopicking, I have to do it myself manually as the autopick doesn’t work, but it only lets me do it for one clip at a time and it takes a very long time to pick. It then often says ‘auto picked successfully’ but nothing changes, and even if I refresh the page, it has not autopicked anything and I have to try again.
Deceptive Product and Irresponsible Platform - Buyer Beware!
I am utterly appalled by the product's deceitful practices and the platform's irresponsibility in promoting such fraudulent ventures. The product initially enticed us with the promise of free access to all future features, but it turned out to be nothing more than a blatant lie. Instead, they shamelessly charge for every single additional function, leaving us feeling scammed and betrayed.
The lack of any viable means to contact the company only adds insult to injury. It is simply unacceptable for a company to shroud itself in secrecy, making it nearly impossible for customers to voice their grievances or seek assistance. This complete disregard for customer feedback and support further emphasizes their unethical business practices.
However, my disappointment extends beyond just the deceitful product. The platform 'AppSumo' bears a significant responsibility in this matter. By featuring and endorsing such a fraudulent company without taking any legal action against them, they are indirectly encouraging these deceptive projects to continue their dishonest schemes. I am deeply disillusioned by 'AppSumo's' lack of accountability and will not be purchasing any products from them in the future. How can one trust a platform that fails to protect its customers from potential theft?
In conclusion, I strongly caution against engaging with this product or any others endorsed by 'AppSumo.' Both the product and the platform have displayed a disregard for customer trust and satisfaction, and their actions have left a bitter taste in my mouth. It is essential to remain vigilant and skeptical while making online purchases, as fraudulent endeavors like this can cause irreparable damage to one's trust and financial well-being.
I am surprised by the "upgrade to premium plan..." mentions I see when I access Fliki and try to test features like voice cloning or Fliki API.
What happened to : "Deal terms and features - Lifetime access to Fliki - You must redeem your code(s) within 60 days of purchase - All future Fliki updates"
?
I also received an email offering me to "upgrade to premium new features"...
Upgrade to what ? I thought I was supposed to get all "All future Fliki updates" ? What's going on? I would appreciate AppSumo view on this too. I don't use Fliki often but I was planning to do it when I would retire in the coming years. Obviously I won't get "All future Fliki updates"... If I had known, I would have probably not purchased this deal.

So I reached out to the founder. I received a response telling me that "All Future Updates" actually meant "all future updates related to the existing features."
Yeah... ok.
