Q: Chrome Extension

Is Design Diff the only action I can perform through the Chrome Extension? I'm not a Figma user but I'd like to use this tool to audit web apps I'm building (potentially mobile apps down the line too). I don't really care for Design Diff that much because I don't work off of a design document like Figma but would love to use Design Audit, and Flow Analysis on my workflow to help identify UI/UX issues as I'm building the app.

As it stands, if Design Diff is all I could do, then I may not have any use for this deal.

A: Great question - and great timing!

Design Diff is indeed the main action available through the Chrome extension now, but we're scheduled to begin rolling out an extension update starting tomorrow. This adds new Audit functionality - the ability to run usability, copy, and accessibility audits directly on live web apps, with issues highlighted on the page itself, all without needing Figma or an existing design file.

In addition, for issues identified, you'll also be able to generate a detailed fix prompt that you can use with your preferred LLM or coding agent to make any changes you wish. If you're working in a team, you can share the issue directly with your developers through our Jira/Linear integrations.

This should make Floto much more useful for exactly the workflow you described: auditing and improving a web app continuously as you build it. Mobile web works too, since the extension runs in the browser; native apps are further down the line.

Flow Analysis for live apps isn't part of this update, but it is absolutely a direction we're exploring. There's a lot more to come - let us know what else you'd want to have!

I work developing native applications, and being able to audit the UI/UX design would be very useful. I am waiting for this option to be developed.

What about a non-web application—I mean a native app for Mac or Windows? Is there a way to audit it without using Figma?

@dokgu - our chrome extension has now been updated to include Audits! You can now do Usability, Copy and Accessibility audits on any URL, get the same level of feedback+recommendations, and with this, also get a prompt to take back to an LLM if you're using one, or a PDF report to share with colleagues or clients.

Hope you can check it out and let us know what you think!
