Feel the (Feed)Burner.

This is what Feedburner could have been if Google cared about it.

I loved Feedburner, for all its whitehat and greyhat applications, but using that has been offensive for years. It hasn't evolved, it's ugly and limited (kinda reminds me of using Blogger in 2020, heck even Google blog moved away from it LOL)

But just as I loved Feedburner for what is in the past, I am taking a leap for what Folllow.it will be in the future.

There's nothing epic about this, it's a simple solution to a simple problem.

Get it if you want more readers to your website. It's that simple. This is perfect for Bloggers and Publishers. If you're heavy on content, or even Google News or MSN News indexed publisher and you don't have something like this, you're doing it wrong. If you want to know what else you're doing wrong, ask me :D

RSS, Email, News page are not great, just good because I can achieve that with existing plugins and my LTD arsenal.

So again, this is good enough, but because they have FB Messenger (I know chatbots, but that'll be overkill and waste of sessions), Whatsapp and WeChat all Coming Soon then it could be great, and I'm ready to move with that.

I know people will say it's not a wise decision to get something due to the roadmap, but I've only been wrong once and I got a full refund for it (hello Ad***o).

And as I said, the present features are already good, the planned updates just make it great. :)

+1 for the push notification planned update (I personally hate this, and I can count all the sites I allowed to send push notifications to me in one hand, but the market wants what the market wants, so I'll be waiting for this too)

Now here's why this is not 5 tacos: I haven't stacked yet. With 6 codes you get 75 feeds with 40k followers, that's equivalent to 533 followers per feed. I think the follower size should be increased. Remember we can have "unlimited" followers on the free tier, correct?

I'll be happy to stack and bug the Support to change my taco rating to 5 if that 533 per feed improves by a factor of 4. Yep 2000 subs for 1 feed.

SUGGESTIONS:

A. Drip feed delivery so we won't be sending messages all at once
B. Please add Slack, Viber, SMS via Textnock

CONCERNS:
1. I like the free tier as well, what if you remove that in the future? Can Sumo-lings keep their access to that tier?
2. Do we get platform updates, say for example you integrate with a new app called Tacochat (hit Helpful for the reference)?

Thanks a lot Kim for your nice review and writing this up!

Regarding the follower limits, I tried to explain the rationale to user "TheShopper" in the comments section who asked also about the limits (to avoid copy/pasting everything I just refer to there). He asked about unlimited followers though, while you are more modestly "only" seeking a multiple of 4, but the points are similar. 50k is a lot of users, and your stated number of 533 followers per feed sounds that low because you spread it out over 75 feeds, which is a lot. You must be owning the internet ;) Nevertheless, I got your point, let us think about this (without committing to anything right now). Regarding the unlimited number of followers on the free tier: that's because we show ads there, and without that (which is the case on Super-Cool) there is no monetization for us other than what publishers pay.

Thank you very much for your suggestions, I'll add them to the Roadmap. I have a couple of questions about your drip-feed delivery point, however it would be too much to discuss it here I guess - would you mind reaching out to us at "help (at) follow (dot) it" for that?

Regarding the free tier removal: you're referring to the "Basic" plan on http://follow.it/features-and-pricing, right? We'll never going to remove that one, as our true north is growth (which is also substantiated by the fact that we offer such crazy AppSumo deals....). However, you do raise a good point here, because currently one account can only be on one plan. I suggest to have several accounts in that case - for more infos please have a look at my response to "PaoloC" under the comments tab.

Regarding platform updates, the best way is to follow our blog (of course via follow.it ;), i.e. please click on "Follow this blog" on https://follow.it/blog.

I hope that addresses your point adequately, if not just let me know :) Thanks Kim!
