Q: Inquiry About IP Tracking When Using Followr
I'm interested in understanding how IP tracking functions when I use Followr to manage my social media accounts. Specifically, when I schedule or publish content through Followr, does Facebook log the IP address of Followr's servers, or does it capture my personal IP address?
My assumption is that, similar to other social media management tools like Buffer or Hootsuite, Facebook would record the IP address of the servers utilized by Followr. Could you please confirm if this is accurate? If it is accurate then could you please inform me where your servers are based?

May 23, 2025A: Yes, your assumption is correct. When you schedule or publish content through Followr, platforms like Facebook log the IP address of the servers used by Followr, not your personal IP address.
Our servers are hosted on AWS in the USA. While I don’t have the exact data center locations at hand, this information is publicly available through AWS

Considering that managing multiple Facebook accounts from a single IP address can potentially trigger Facebook's security systems, I would like to inquire further: Have you implemented any proxy solutions, such as rotating proxies, to distribute IP addresses and mitigate the risk of account restrictions?

i want to know about same thing.
to manage lots of accounts, social media may stop accounts because of same IPs.
how do you think?
it's a valid concern, and we’ll be reviewing it in more depth.
So far, we haven’t received any reports of accounts being flagged due to Followr usage. We use only official API integrations with each platform (including Meta/Facebook), which ensures compliance and reduces the likelihood of triggering security systems.
That said, we're always looking to improve and stay ahead of potential risks.
