Q: GPT-3 Only!
If you ask “What AI model are you using?” it will respond that it is using GPT-3.
Same on web and mobile app. Has been this way since the app came back online.
If the founder needs to lower costs for a while, that is understandable.
But they should absolutely reply to emails and questions.
Otherwise it is almost certainly that they are simply trying to get over the 1 year line making the deal non-refundable then bouncing.
The founders picture looks AI generated too lol.
I hope they are simply trying to lower costs temporarily and have a long term plan, but the app is still removed from the play store. With zero communication it’s a massive red flag. Same with the website disappearing before.
So my questions are, when do you plan to re-implement GPT-4 models and why is the app removed from Google play?
Don’t expect Frank to be around for a long time. It’s down all the time off and on and no one will ever respond to emails. It is sad how it’s a great product but unreliable and 100% no support
Yeah it would be a shame if it closes as it is well built. Though it was a risky purchase to begin with. That said, I do see a couple of iOS updates last month.
The optimist in me wants to believe the founder is just super busy with dev/admin work and feels too overwhelmed to reply to anyone.
But the pessimist is expecting a rug pull 366 days after the deal ended lol.
Now if you ask the same question, it will say GPT-4. But also, if you switch to GPT-3.5 mode it will also answer GPT-4. Seems like they are using a system prompt to spoof the model 🤣
At what point of the product not functioning as advertised, combined with the founder not replying via any channel, does Appsumo consider a product closed/dead?
Android app is gone too.
Frank is down again..

It now says it's based on GPT-3. For months I've been using some specific prompts for a regular task, but since the last downtime the results I get differ considerably in content and format. It's not GPT-4.o anymore. When I use other clients that use GPT-4.o I still get the results as usual. In other words - Frank AI now only seems to offer GPT-3.5 plus Dall-E generation of images.
