Let me start off by saying that Frank AI is a great app. Despite being quite early stage, it gives (almost) as high quality outputs as some of the best AI tools I've purchased from AppSumo (like Voila, for example), and the interface is nice & clean, and easy to use.

So, why not 5 tacos?

In my opinion, Frank's USP misses the mark completely. The iOS keyboard isn't really a keyboard; rather, a (quite frustrating) AI "window" that opens in the place of your normal keyboard. You can prompt it and chat with it, BUT you can't use it for cooperative writing or to "predict your thoughts". Unless I'm missing something, 99% of the time, you'll still have to switch back and forth between that and your "normal" keyboard to make it work (which takes the same amount of effort as switching between windows and copy-pasting from another app – like Voila).

And if you're using it on a computer (instead of your phone)? Then you have to open it in a separate window, and switch back and forth between windows (unlike Voila, which can open in the same window with a keyboard shortcut).

Additionally, the inability to search the internet kind of limits its usefulness for researching certain topics or getting up-to-date information about something...

Don't get me wrong: Frank AI is off to a good start, is a great product already (especially for this price!), and has massive potential (hence the 4 tacos – which is still a decent rating). The only reason I'm comparing it to more mature products (Voila) is because I fear that the dev team is focusing their efforts on the wrong USP.
