Your Next Business In A Box!
Maybe this isn't for everyone, such as a tenured coder / developer, but for me its a true game changer. I have some old school web design skills, tried numerous new apps including those that integrate AI, but nothing even comes close to what Friday Code can do with just a few words. I was able to build a totally custom made audio / blog like presentation web app in about 2.5 hours, using less than 4 out of 250 tokens. I'm sure that will vary depending on what you're building and what LLM gets used, but this was all out of the box settings.
I'm no where near complete, but I'm absolutely 100% sold and will be bumping up to tier 3 within a couple days, simply to get automation capability and to support the founder Amogh's cause. It's in beta and not without flaws, but its also self learning. This app is brilliant and I'm confident it will only get better and at the speed of AI ingestion. No implications here, but in appsumos own words to "Build, deploy, and automate full-stack apps from a single desktop workspace with AI", is a very real statement.
As for all the integrations, such as github, vercel, figma, supabase, stripe etc., I can't speak on those today, but see them as growth components for taking well working basic apps towards something much bigger. In the mean time, what is being offered here is so far ahead of its time, its a no brainer for me. Even without those features, the cost / development potential is off the charts.
After years of putting parts and pieces together, with limited funds and a long list of unfinished projects, I can confidently say, that today with Friday Code, I finally have a way to actually get things done. This is the next generation of WYSIWYG for everything, but now you just use words and grin when it produces something tangibly useful and beautiful in just minutes.

Great Start!
Big kudos to Amogh, the founder. I've had Friday Code for about a month and everything has been solid so far.
The telling sign was my very first test, a landing page. What I like is that you can personalize the project from the start with your own .md file. If you have a custom one you can upload it, and if you don't, they give you .md styles to choose from, so you don't end up with AI slop. Friday Codes built-in agents are smart enough to interpret your prompt and then build it. They do have 3 different levels of agents to choose from. There are also many code options to choose from for your build whether you're doing a full blown app or IOS application but the agent will decide the best course of action. In fact, a major is a strength of Friday Code is that it removes the friction of connecting to systems you will need like a database...etc. In a few minutes the landing page came out much better than I anticipated, so I was pleasantly surprised.
Now I'm testing a real app with a database, auth, and payment connections, the whole nine. So far so good. I'm loving how the build is coming along.
Another plus is the Slack channel, where you can reach the team directly if you need support. I've never waited more than a day for a response, sometimes I get one the same day. I suggested a feature and they implemented it quickly, so they're clearly listening to feedback. Of course there are bugs here and there but that to be expected. I haven't run into too many but I do keep an eye on the changelog which is updated frequently with fixes and updates.
I'm actually thinking about switching from Cursor to Friday Code full time. Credit usage is very manageable, especially on Tier 3 and above. There's also OpenRouter BYOK on all tiers if you need it.
From a UI perspective the app is built well. The icing on the cake for me is all the level of personalization, which makes it feel like it's built for you instead of being rigid. That's a testament to Amogh's vision for the app from day one. He realizes some of the best enhancements come from real users and implements them quickly. He definitely is taking learnings along the way and making the app better. It's still early, but this second go round for Amogh looks really promising. Keep it going!

Turns an idea into a working prototype
For context, I have a long history in the IT industry, not so much in programming and development. Having hired teams on contract in the past for app development, and have had decent luck with that. A new app idea has been bounding around my head for a bit, and I saw this listed on AppSumo and figured I'd give it a try.
Before I just started entering prompts, I did take the time to look through the settings, templates and configuration options. I think that was a very helpful, as it helped me consider what to enable and which project types to select for the project in mind. To keep it simple, I chose to develop an Android only app.
I started with an initial prompt, and while not super fast, it is as I would expect, considering I somewhat understand the processes going on in the background. The first prompt actually ended up with a working prototype in less than 10 minutes. From there, the console was very responsive to my carefully crafted prompts to further enhance the app.
Switching between Android Studio for testing, and Friday for enhancements was pretty straightforward, and I had never used Android Studio before. The Friday console will provide terms that someone who is familiar with Android Studio would understand, but another prompt can provide step by step instructions.
One note, I would try entering a prompt asking 'what if' questions, and Friday would seem to ignore the 'what if' and alter code according to what I was asking. Still trying to determine a possible correct prompt but figured I'd mention this.
Within a couple of hours, I had a MVP, including paywalls and RevenueCat integration. I did have to perform all RevenueCat and Google Play Console tasks myself, which I expected. Maybe there is a way to have Friday perform some of those tasks, but figured I should learn them anyways.
The longest part of this is not Friday, but the chosen app store waiting and review periods.
Overall, I'm very impressed with this, and already upgraded tiers. I think this will be one of the best AppSumo purchases I've made this year.

It's hard to really work with Friday as a senior developer
Don't get me wrong, I think this tool is great and would work wonders for those who aren't experienced developers. But as a senior developer I will probably never use this for serious projects and would only use it for prototyping.
I really tried to like this product but right now my VS Code + Claude Code terminal is still a much better solution or workflow for me because I have far better control over my project. I know I can get Friday to the same level eventually but right now I don't have the patience to work towards it and so it feels like Friday is in control and I'm just there to watch.
A few things to share based on a project I started with Friday using a Next.js template I use to start new projects with my VS Code + Claude Code setup:
- My template required Node 26 as a minimum and for some reason Friday was reporting Node 20. Apparently it was using the Node 20 shim from Electron which Friday was built with I assume. Since it was unable to update its version of Node, I asked it to point its path to my Node 26 installation instead. That did fix the issue.
- My template doesn't use Vite and I have already supplied a .env.local in the project directory with everything the template needed to run. Also, my template uses port 3000. After Friday built the first phase, I'm surprised to see a .env file with Vite and Next.js Supabase environment variables. Weird but okay, we'll consolidate those later. It ran a preview for me and I noticed it was running on port 4209. I don't think Friday actually used the template I had set up before starting with Friday. It is very opinionated about the stack it wants to use instead of what I already had put in place as our starting point. At this point I don't think I have enough control over the project and that I'd be fighting with Friday pretty much the entire development of the project which is why I have rated my review as only 3 tacos.
- The preview was also a bit of a useless feature for me because the login page sent a magic link to my email which when I clicked, opened in my default browser instead of the preview (expected) and got an error because of it. The simplest solution was to login using the same browser where the magic link will be opened from. Friday was also pointing out that the redirect was using port 3000 not 4209 which tells me the app has diverged and confused about how it is set up because Friday decided not to use the template and the environment variables I have set up for it before I even asked Friday to explore the current codebase to understand how the stack is set up.
I only have a few more weeks left but I am leaning more towards refunding this tool because I know I will be fighting with it more than it will help me build my projects and I'd rather use my current VS Code + Claude Code setup which works really well for me as I have more control over my projects than I do with Friday.

Sep 26, 2026Thank you for your feedback. To your observations, Friday is indeed opinionated about the preview ports and comes with a node bundled. It is designed for folks who aren't developers or have been developers in the past and want to delegate the work to Friday. Everything comes bundled, so if user's system does not have node etc, everything would still work.
That said, if you are a developer, you can...

If somebody knows coding, that's the alternative.
There is no doubt they have changed the way of doing the coding and their team is supportive. Every time if you need any extension or any kind of integration towards their software, they are ready to help. And I'm really fascinated until now. So far, so good. I really appreciate the team. Thanks, Friday Code.
