Q: Before increasing codes, a file management question
When setting up a portal we might want to add some basic graphical elements to the portal (i.e. logo, bg images, etc), but then also upload some front-facing documents, i.e. ~20-30 PDF files, that would be part of say a public file library... Normally, I would want to have the basic graphical elements in one subfolder and the front-facing library documents in another - but with this system, it seems they all end up in one place, a single portal file folder which has no subfolders. Then I thought, maybe I can tag the uploaded files (like in Sharepoint) in order to separate them, but I don't see that feature either. Am I missing a subfolder or tagging feature at the portal level, or is there some other way to manage (i.e. separate) such files that I am missing? Thanks

In the current implementation, the File Manager is an aggregation of all files available on the portal. You can upload files to it directly, but file support is not yet available (this is planned for the near future).
Folders themselves can be organized at the portal level. You can create folders that will appear in the portal sidebar and add files to them via the File Uploader widget. These folders can be made available to all portal visitors or only to specific clients through granular permissions.
