Q: I am confused about 'client portals'...

I've gone through all the questions and answers and it is still unclear to me. I might have a mental block probably because the phrase 'client portal' usually refers to a template that a client logs into and sees their own projects and data etc.

(1) Is your use of the phrase of 'client portal' relating to a single design that is only usable for 1 single client / project... so for instance with 10 codes I can only collaborate with with 15 clients (as it gives 15 client portals)

So if I work with 100 clients I would need 100 client portals for me to collaborate with them.

(2) Or is your use of the phrase 'client portal' referring to a specific layout that as admin I can design. And when each client clicks a SSO link the mini-website gets populated only with their relevant projects and data.

I am getting the feeling that your use of the phrase 'client portal' means with 10 codes I can only collaborate with 15 clients (as the 10 codes allows 15 client portals) which makes this LTD deal unusable for my own use case.

(3) Once a client portal has been created can it be redesigned and repurposed later?

This 'client portal' aspect is the only thing stopping me buying currently. Is it possible to get some clarity on this point without having to jump on a 1hr-2hr webby.

Other than this the product looks solid... I just have several other softwares that don't charge per client per portal to logon and collaborate with... so I am trying to see how FUSEBASE would be usable in my businesses.

(4) Finally, I have 3 businesses... would I need to stack a specific number of codes per business and have a separate login email for each business?... or do you have any options for a single sign-on account where I can access each of my businesses within one dashboard.

A: Hi @DarrenW

Great questions. Really confusing because many professional services differ from each other and it's really hard to come up with a universal solution in terms of the pricing plans

You correct. Here is solution:

Granular Portals (in development) - 5 codes and you can use one portal for multiple clients:
In January, we will release granular permissions for portals. It means that you will be able to invite different people in different sections of the portal and they will not know about each other. Here is the link where it is described.
Read here how it works:

Because we had so many requests, we decided to prioritize this feature and they will release as soon as possible, but the current estimate is January

4 If you go with a Granular Portals, and in every business you have many clients, you will need 5 codes per business. Plus you get a white label for every business.

We can't give away just portals in large numbers because for us it's pretty pricey. Every portal is like a micro website, which costs us money as well. Granular Portals solve this problem.

Follow-up question to @Pavel_FUSEBASE: if I got a 3-code stack when you guys were on appsumo in 2020, and I wanted granular portals, I would just need to buy 2 more codes. Is that correct?

Sorry, AppSumo glitched and I posted multiple times.

I am not understanding the concept of granular portals. Let's say i have one main portal for my business and i have 5 codes, then how many clients can i add at a granular level?
